Put these in a Squire Affinity Deluxe and made the guitar sound so much better. I purchased the nickel cover ones to match the original look of the guitar. It really cleaned up the tone. Well worth it if your are thinking of upgrading the stock Humbuckers. Thanks to AMS for the quick shipping and service.

Seymour Duncan makes fantastic pick ups and I think this one is one of their best. It's a perfect balance of tight, punchy lows and crisp, cutting highs when used in the neck position. It really sings in this position and doesn't get muddy. Their quality is top of the line and through many, many years I've been using them they've never failed me.

Paired this pickup with an Invader in the bridge in each of my PRS SE Starlas and the combo turned both of my guitars from good to great!!! The pickups are polar opposites separately but make a great pair together!!!

Ordered this for the neck pickup of a 59 epi les Paul. Great pickup and paired very well with the jb4 in the bridge. Original 59 was not getting proper volume, but Seymour Duncan sent me the replacement and it made me a Duncan fan for life.

While I play primarily metal music I use my clean tone quite a bit. The 59 is great but it handles gain just as well. Getting creamy licks out of this pup isn't an issue. I highly recommend this.

Really solid neck pickup, has a nice scooped curve that compliments almost any bridge pickup, the 59 and JB combo is one of the classic combos that works well for anything. Either way, if you want or need a solid neck pickup, definitely one of the best.

Never used the neck pickup by itself much because it just had a 'bland, bassy' sound... But now, with the '59 I get a rich, crisp sound when clean and a smooth, creamy distortion sound using my Ibanez Tube King!
I would highly recommend this pickup!!!

Product Review
I'm a bit of a tone geek!
I've got many different pickups in many different guitars. All different brands! However all of my guitars with Seymour Duncan's, are the ones that get the most use! This Seymour Duncan 59 is a great neck pickup! It matches well with almost any bridge pickup I pair it with! Actually this is my third 59 for a neck position!
The tone/feel/dynamics of this pickup are spot on for anything from clean all the way to heavy dirt!
It's a true "tone in your head" pickup!

I like it..i like it a lot. I have it in the neck position on my Dean ML. It's just a Korean made no whammy ML, I replaced the DMT design cause it was muddy. It really cleaned up with the 59 and a Dimebucker in the bridge, it's a full on tone machine now.

As with all SD pickups this thing is solid. I'm sure it will last me for years./
Had it for 4 months now and seems to be holding up strong.
Your general opinion of this product.
I love this P/U. I just left the studio and used this neck P/U for all my lead work. It gives a nice thick bluesy sound.
Thick and smooth....the instant I bent my first notes it brought a smile to my face. I just held it and let the sustain take over. Less is more.
The polished chrome looks awesome.

Seymour Duncan Pickups have got to be One of The Best Available.I
have tried quite a few,and I know that there's some Great Pickup Makers out there. However,my ears don't Lie,and Seymours Deliver That Warm,Smooth,Fat,Juicy Tone that they Promise!
As long as I don't allow Dust build-up in the Pickup Cavity of my Guitar, and I wipe the Sweat and Grime off the Pickup when I'm done with it,this Pup should last a Lifetime! Made in America Too!
Your general opinion of this product.
This is the 4th Duncan Pickup I have Purchased.Depending on what type of Sound or Tone your looking for,go to the Seymour Web-site,and use their Tone Chart. The Tone Chart Sound Bites come close to the type your looking for.Bare in mind,...what you set your Amp settings at,EQ,Effects Pedals, etc.,all play a part in your overall Sound.

Your general opinion of this product.
QUALITY:
Well it's by one of the best pickup manufacturers in existence isn't it? Anything by Duncan is going to last and last. Also, the quality of research and manufacturing is evident in how closely this resembles the sound of an original PAF in an old Les Paul. In fact it's hard to tell the difference...
FEATURES:
Great features, works well, nice adjustable pole pieces, however I dropped one point here as I'd like it to come with 4 wires by default, not only be special request. But they're staying true to the original. If you want to coil split or phase invert this thing you'll have to custom order it though with 4 wires.
EASE OF USE:
It's a pickup isn't it? If you can install pickups, you can install this. If not, get it done right by a pro. After it's in, it's very easy to use.
VALUE:
Great value - get the sound of the best guitar ever made - the 59 les paul with the first humbucking pickups in existence
