A classic for a reason

I know this pickup was one of the first high gain pickups Duncan did and it still rules years later. I got it to replace the neck Invader that came in my Delonge strat. It has a bit more gain and a bit more presence. Just a solid pickup.

Paired this pickup with a 59 in the neck of both of my PRS SE Starlas and made both of my guitars into fire breathing beasts!!!

Made a vintage Arbor strat into a Metal riff machine

Product Review
I replaced the stock pickup on a 90's era Arbor strat that belonged to my brother.(only one angled humbucker, 24 frets, single locking trem, it's a knockoff played by Adrian Vandenberg of Whitesnake in the "Still of the Night" video) I purchased it back in December of 2019 and after installing it the tonal difference was immediately evident. This pickup is not designed for soloing or shredding, it is straight up in your face killer distortion! It is an excellent pickup for anyone looking to create a vintage Thrash sound or some early Death Metal sounds as well. Overall, I am rather pleased with the SH8 Invader, I may even toss one into my LTD MH-250NT to replace the stock EMG-HZ.

Product Review
The Invader humbucker is one I keep coming back to. Whether it's in it's original form or in some kind of hybrid pickup from the SD custom shop, I find it always delivers the heavy tone I'm looking for no matter the amp or guitar.

These pups totally rock. In my Schecter Damien they turned it into a Hellraiser.
Very deep rich sound with awesome mids. Great palm muting sound and awesome for harmonics.
Not one that looks quite like this. It looks awesome. The name "Invader" definantely applies here !!

Your general opinion of this product.
I purchased one of these pickups years ago hen they were first introduced. it was for a project guiar that I built myself. I could not be happier with the results I achieved. The powerful output of this pickup made it ideal for hard rock/metal music and jamming. That was over 13 years ago and I'm glad to say it's still going strong.

I've had this pickup in my Gibson Sonex for about 10 years with no problems at all.
FEATURES:
I have mine set with coil splitting capabilities.
EASE OF USE:
Very playable.
VALUE:
Well worth the price. Outstanding quality.
SOUND:
Very heavy and fat sound a.k.a. Black Sabbath. Infinite sustain. I don't use this guitar often for lead playing as I find the sound just a little too muddy.
