High output, exellent clarity, Seymour Duncan pickups are very high quality pickups, no modification necessary, fits perfectly in any fender jazz or pj bass, I have them in my PJ bass and am very impressed with the outcome.

Pickup sounds good a nice upgrade from the factory pup. Quality control needs to be better the negative lead fell off the pickup when I installed it and the p-bass pup did the same thing. I had to solder the leads back onto the pickups. Wrote Seymour Duncan and let them know of the problems. Never had this problem before with SD pickups.

I first swapped out my stock fender Jazz pickups that came with my Geddy Lee Signature Bass. The stock Fender Pickups sounded great but I get a much better mid range sound and a bit dirtier sound with SD SBJ3 pickups. I liked them so much I swapped out my other Fender Jazz bass pick ups and put a set in My Peavey Millinium 3, what a big difference they made in the Peavey Bass, It's sounds like a high end bass, I highly recommend the Seymour Duncan SBJ3 quarter Pound Jazz Bridge and Neck pick ups, you won't regret it
