I've had this pickup with in hopes to nail George Lynch's sound. This pickup has more of a cleaner sound then any bite or growl even thru a 100 watt Marshall stack. It's a nice pickup but also a disappointment when you have a legendary guitar player like George Lynch name on something that won't even come close to his sound or it didn't for me anyhow.

This pickup is fantastic IF you're looking for a hot PAF, not an all out metal pickup. Other than the name, everything in the description is accurate. It's got a lot of growl in the best way. Highs are a little rounded without being dark or muddy.
I put this in the bridge of my strat along with some overwound single coils in the neck and middle position. It balances well and makes for a very versatile guitar. It can do cleans with a slight roll-off of the volume without loosing body. It shines with distortion but isn't nearly as hot as a JB (a fantastic pickup but too much to use with single coils).
Overall, it isn't the most amazing pickup, but it is fantastic and perfect for the guitar. If you're into classic rock, hard rock or classic metal, you can't go wrong with this one. If you want a super high output pickup, look elsewhere.

The pickup wasn't as hot as I was hoping for, but the tone was so much better than what I was using, I stayed with it. My original was lacking on the high end and this pickup solved that issue..
