I've never had in-ear monitors until these, but I've used wired AND wireless earbuds for years. As in-ear monitors these reproduce what I need to hear to a tee and are so clear. The sound is incredible. The bass is there, highs are intact, and it's great. In the ear these fit great - I didn't even have to change out the tips, although they included a lot of different options. I'd buy these again if something happened to them.

The fit is great. The sound is clean and balanced. I use them to practice my drums primarily. So I can' speak about their performance in a live setting.

7 years ago I purchased the SE215’s and unfortunately my dog got ahold of them! So this time around I went a step up to these and let me tell you, I was blown away!! First gig using them I was taken back by the great clarity and it felt awesome hearing the deep low end coming thru like a champ! Highly recommend!

I like real amps, real stage volume and feeling the music. These ear buds have allowed me to maintain many of those qualities while also saving my hearing. In a lot of ways it has helped me to enjoy playing a little more with being able to hear everyone much clearer without the loudness war I was a slave to for so many years.

I play drums in a Cleveland/Akron-based industrial band called TWO DEAD ROSES (facebook.com/twodeadroses) and the Shure SE425 set is PERFECT. You can't judge them by how they sound on your mobile device because they need some extra power to really shine. The sound from our mixer is insane... deep, crisp and LOUD). I'm incredibly happy with these and have zero plans to upgrade them.

Again like the B&W earbuds these will not fit in my ear! Angle is weird and I tried every which way to make them fit. Foam pads are not big enough or deep enough to fit firmly in ear. Has zero noise reduction cause of this. They sound horrible when walking around.

I found these units disappointing. The were heavier than other in-ears I've used and the sound was much less than I expected from Shure and a dual driven ear piece. The highs were good but there was little to no lows coming through. I've heard better buds from Apple! Do your research first! AMS was very cool about, accepted it back with no issues.

Your general opinion of this product.
As monitors, these things are worth every penny. I've used the $1200 in ears before, and these are far better. Deep lows and crisp clear highs.
Only had them a couple weeks, time will tell.
The variety of ear foams are great and make custom fitting very easy.
As long as they last, absolutely.

Seem to be great quality and well built. The quality of the wire will most likely be understood over time and usage, but all seems good.
I use these playing bass guitar through an Aviom and wanted good bass lows. These deliver.
The sound is excellent. I would expect nothing less based on the price. They came with a great selection of bud types for various ear types. I tried a few until I found the ones that best fit me for my application.
My first try using these took a few times to get used to how they go in. Get past that and they are quite easy to use.
You may want to mark either the left or the right so you can easily identify -- the little L and R are hard to read.
I cant comment on value. I mean these were pricey and I don't really have anything to compare them against.

I really like the isolation they provide, the sound quailty is truely amazing. I heard instruments I had never heard before in songs I had listened to many times on cheap earbuds. I like the quick cable disconnect feature.
The illustrations in the manual leav a bit to be desired when it comes to fitting the earphone in your ear,but after some trial and error using different ear pieces it finally started to click. After some practice I can get them in fairly quickly now.
If you really enjoy listening to music you will find these to be a good value. I use mine for live performance monitoring too and they work great and are considerably less expensive than the custom molded earbuds. You can buy custom ear molds that fit the shures if you want to spend the extra cash.
