Product Rating Product Review I like this as it is the size of a vintage one. For me it’s a must have pedal for its distinct fuzz sound. Sustain and character.

Product Review With the knobs all the way up it sounds like it's broke! It's fuzzy and raunchy sounding! Saying that I need too say it ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! If you are buying a FUZZ pedal and don't want it to sound like your amp is going to explode. Well then you really don't want a FUZZ. Buy a Big Muff Pi you will be happy you did

Product Review I've always loved the Big Muff. She's a beauty with great sound--very big. I have one negative thing to say. Nowhere on the site does it say if it comes with a power cord or what model power cord you have to order to go with it. For those of us who choose to plug our pedals, this would be helpful.

Product Review You really can’t go wrong with such a classic! The build isn’t as sturdy as other pedals I’ve used, but the tone is fantastic. It’s a little too muddy for my taste, but it’s a great choice for some grungy tones!

Product Review Had a blast with this pedal right out of the box. Sounds great. Volume, tone and sustain controls give a wide variety of tone options. Playing through an Epiphone Les Paul and a Fender Hot Rod Deville 2x12. A real cool thing I found was the volume control allowed me to throttle back the amp (which is notoriously loud) in my small practice room. Love the Big Muff Pi!!!

Product Review I had the germanium4 big muff pi and loved the sound, but couldn't get that classic muff fuzz out of it. Bought this and haven't looked back! This pedal is loud, fuzzy, Pure awesomeness. I have found if you put a booster pedal before the muff it gives it more bite and really let's you stand out in the mix.

Product Review I had one of these back in the '70's and let it go along with Phase Shifter (Small Stone) and a Dunlop Cry Baby Wah (before they put up New and Improved.) Now I have all three back again. You can't beat the Big Muff PI. Now, their circuits are better, they are not meant to stomp-on, bang around, or you will at some point tear this BABY UP. Run another pedal before this one and it will not have the HUM. Thank-you AMS for the quick turn-around-time. And, thanks to the Customer Service for taking my order. I have yet to be disappointed. Take care of this pedal and it will outlast you! This is well worth every penny. Thanks again. Daniel Glenn

Your general opinion of this product. Very cool design, but kind of bulky. The tone of this pedal is amazing, and was exactly what I was looking for. It's solid metal, and will provide many years of service. Knobs are nice and smooth when making adjustments. Pedal has some bulk to it. Everything from warm and bassy to hot and crunchy. For only 3 knobs, there are plenty of different tones to be had. N/A Pretty simple paint job, and will probably fade after a while. As long as the pedal does it's job, it doesn't matter to me. Ask David Gilmour.

Nice metal casing, tight knobs and screws, I have bought pedals and tubes from EHX dealers and they havent let down. Im sure I wont be let down. When I asked if I could buy the used Muff Pi from the store I was told I couldn't because it was old and non refundable, So Im sure this pedal will last longer as it has one owner. Your general opinion of this product. I use to own the Little Big Muff Pi but for some reason I didn't like it as much as my Boss FZ-3, so I sold both eventually to save up for a ZVEX, I tried a Big Muff Pi at local guitar shop and I was blown away for some reason it sounded better then the Little Pi. This pedal sounds slightly better with more control on the Sustain and little more bottom end and just right at highs. I even tested them side by side in the store. I had to have one but the price was to much basically $90. So I said to myself, I will look at American Musical for one as they offer Free Shipping. I look and found a awesome Big Muff Pi at a Scratch and Dent price for nearly half and I got it next day, it sounds exactly like I heard at the store. What sold me was that I can easily adjust settings on the Big Muff with my shoe and I dont have to squat over and risk my headstock bumping into something. The pedal is perfectly balanced if you know what kind of setting you want. It has nice bottom end sound especially with Strats it gives it that more eerie sound or I can turn the tone up and get nice twangy brittle fuzz that will leave you deaf in a good way. I use single coils guitar only for the cleanliness of it and I just love how they distort. It has a a few scuffs nothing major and no dents on the face from what I can see and thats because I bought it Dent and Scratch, its the inside that matters.

I have not had this stomp box long, but I think it will be around for years to come. Your general opinion of this product. I use the Big Muff to get the Wall era tone of Pink Floyd. It works great with a cranked 50 watt tube amp. The paint job is pretty cool.

Your general opinion of this product.

QUALITY:
Seems durable enough

FEATURES:
It is what it is, a whole lot of big, fat muff

EASE OF USE:
3 knobs, c'mon..

VALUE:
It's expensive for a distortion pedal

SOUND:
Thick, huge sound

STYLE:
Rock/Funk/other

MUSIC EXPERIENCE:

OVERALL:
First of all, let me just say that this thing produces an awesome sound. It caught me off guard, when I think "fuzz", i think, well, Fuzz...Soft, buzzy, static-like, fuzz...This is fuzzy alright, but it's a huge wall of sound fuzz! It's a big nasty chug-chug fuzz. If you're a guitarist who plays heavier, more modern rock or metal'ish stuff you'll love it, but I was looking for something a little more mellow. It could have it's place in my arsenal, but for the price I can have something that costs $100(w/Adapter) just lying around waiting for the one song I'll use it on. I read that John Frusciante used th

EASE OF USE:
It's pretty much plug in and play

VALUE:
Really good price for the many uses this pedal has

SOUND:
Billy Corgan and Jack White of the white stripes use it, oh, and Jimi Hendrix and Korn, so if you like their sound, you'll love this pedal. Our song "Glass Coffin" is recorded with this pedal.

Made me think twice before buying! I had issues.

Your general opinion of this product.

QUALITY:
Best Quality would be the metal casing and the the knob utility. The thing is SOLID. The knobs are slow to turn (a sign of good working knobs underneath) and is just MADE well. Worst quality are the inner electronics. This thing pops every time I step on it. RUINS my sound and I don't want it to blow my speakers with that crap.

FEATURES:
The volume knob is nice. For example, step on box, turn volume up to 11 o'clock to even begin hearing it, than from 1-5 it gets saturated. Max it out for some serious carnage. The tone knob removes the bass, or treble, in varying degrees as you turn it. Get low down and guttural like Fu Manchu for some serious stoner riffs or shred it all up and let your guitar scream. The sustain knob doesn't do too much. It just allows your signal to ring out longer, I keep it from 12-1 mostly.

EASE OF USE:
Simple interface, very easy to dial in a tone. If I were in a song I could very easily k

QUALITY:
Solid contstruction, built like a tank with nice large knobs.

FEATURES:
Classic big muff sound, easy to dial in!

EASE OF USE:
Three knobs and a switch...try not to panic, it's pretty easy!!

VALUE:
Great value, will last for years and retain most of it's value if you ever have to sell it.

SOUND:
It's a quality pedal and it does what it is supposed to do. Dialing in your sound is entirely up to you, keep tweaking it until you get it right.

STYLE:
Surf, psychobilly, punk

MUSIC EXPERIENCE:
Too many years and I still suck

OVERALL:
I'll be playing with the Big Muff until either I die or it dies. If it dies, I'll get another one. If I die...well, we are working on the cloning process.
