I got this studiologic to practice at home and get the sounds off midi via an ipad or a computer and hasn't disappoint. It works great and its made of very sturdy material. I've been using it since last Christmas along with teaching my 4 and 9 year old daughters. They both love it and like the feel of the weighted keys. I've found it to be a heavier feel than many other keyboards like the yamaha arius but never the less have grown used to it. If feels of more quality than that of the price tag! My first one had the F (left the middle C) key not working at all but AMS sent a replacement of it immediately and problem solved. Thanks so much AMS for being a hassle free place to get your instruments at. It makes our household a happy learning keys place!

The build quality on this Studiologic SL 88 Studio could be called artistic. Like if Apple designers built a keyboard controller . . . this would be it. The metal casing (versus the typical plastic) gives me so much more confidence that it'll have a long and productive lifespan. And the layout of the controls . . . is just so very clean and well thought out. It is without question the best controller I've ever put my hands on.

My SL88 Studio controller is INCREDIBLE. I've always preferred the feel of piano keys as opposed to plastic synth keys when I play -- and this controller FEELS LIKE HAMMER WEIGHTED PIANO KEYS! The value is AWESOME -- the price is very affordable given all the things it can do regarding program switching and master controls for studio work AND performance gigs. It's also light weight and low profile ... EVERYTHING I NEED!

Looked at many reviews before deciding which controller to purchase. I had several shipping issues with both Fedex and UPS an almost cancelled this purchase entirely. After finally getting it, my first impression was AMAZING.. this controller is very sturdy, much heavier than I expected but that's a good thing because it's built to last. Weighted keys have an incredible feel to them. I purchased it for use with "Addictive Keys" and I'm so happy that I didn't cancel this purchase. I have a Roland A-Pro 800 controller with many knobs and faders that are basically useless so I love the clean look of this controller, I don't need all fancy gadgets to be impressed by, what this keyboard has is just enough for efficient use for the intended purpose. I feel very strongly that after close and careful evaluation of all keyboard controllers being offered, this one is the best when comparing, price, quality and durability.

From all the 88 key keyboards I’ve performed on, this one takes the cake! Studiologic came highly recommended by fellow musicians and it did not disappoint! The key bed feels great, amazing action! It’s also very light for an 88-key! It has the basic features to just plug and play right out of the box! Thank you American Musical for another great experience!

The Studio Logic, SL88 is one of the most diverse studio controllers on the planet. This is the engineer/Producers keyboard controller. Four banks of ability to control the DAW at your fingertips. The Stage Performers Dream, to immediately switch patches on stage. The diversity in this box is more than can be asked for. These features stand out right away.
I have had this board 4 months now, it surpasses anything I have had before. A particular con is the learning curve but once you get pass that you will be on your way.
There is so much more as you begin to explore the midi controls, and the digital attachment mixer/controller to even more readily control the keyboard. Studio Logic is the keyboard bed for professionals, this feel is comparable the actual piano keyboard as the SL88 Grand is as well. I recommend this controller, I have had quite a few, but this one takes the show. You will be certainly more than satisfied with the performance of this keyboard controller. it will more than meet your expectations.

I just LOVE the way the weighted keys respond to my playing! Since they adopted their hammer action keybed technology from FATAR, it makes me feel like a real piano player again! It's weight doesn't hold much of a burden as its over contenders either! This is my newest piece in my studio and I will NEVER switch it out! I've had it for about 2 months now and it has met every sing expectation that it was purchased for. I love how easy it was to integrate with my DAW (Logic Pro X). Just a plug in and play. I love the fact that this company has many different options for a keyboardist and music producer. I choose this one cause I know I wouldn't be playing with it live anytime soon btu know later down the line since it has a great number of accessories including the SL Mixface, music stand, computer plate, organ footpedals, and many more! This company is worth buying from! Thank you Studio Logic for creating such wonderful tools for music creation!

Really enjoying my new Midi controller. Took a bit of work to get it going without the right DAW. No instructions or user guide included in the box. All you need to get it running is located on the studiologic website. The feel of the weighted keys truly feels premium. The built-in sounds are great. Very versatile. All in all a good choice for beginner to intermediate users looking to get into midi at a great price.

This is a fantastic midi controller. The weighted keys are amazing. The three Joy sticks are fun to use. The colorful screen is amazing to use as wells as being able to control features from the controller instead of having to use software. The set up was quick and easy. It is an all around great controller. Glad I bought it.

I can not give an honest review for this product because I found I had ordered the wrong product. I needed a stage keyboard and I ordered a controller which I had no need for. However the look and feel of the controller was excellent especially the weighted keys along with the metal frame. I believe the product does whatever AMS says it does. I purchased several items from AMS with great satisfaction and was able to return a couple of items with no problems at all. I have bought music products with great pleasure from AMS and will continue to do so in the future as I am going back to work part time. Thanks AMS

Not only is this controller very pleasing to play on, but is also completely user-tweakable to respond to how you play when synced to various piano, electric piano, and synth VST/plug-ins. The four pedal jacks is also a huge extra.
