Let me start by saying I have 8 acoustic electric guitars. I have had every brand except some of the boutique names. Guilds and Martins tend to be my favorites, but.... There's something about the sound of this guitar that is extremely responsive, articulate and rich.
Now it doesn't have the deep low of a Martin or Guild, but there's this articulation and upper mid resonance that is out of this world.
As I was playing this for my wife and daughter, who listen to ALL my guitars, they both constantly remarked on how "beautiful" this sounded.
Not to mention the electronics - totally amazing!
Most of my guitars have a dual pickup system, but this pickup and preamp hangs right there with them and is easier to use and replace the battery.
Totally a winner!

This guitar is by far one of the best sounding guitars I've played. Plugged in or sitting on the front porch. Amazing! This guitar is well worth the price and you won't be disappointed!

Really excited about my new GB7! Plugged in or just acoustic it sounds great! Could of bought just about any kind of guitar I desired but after playing one I had to have this one! And of course AMS was outstanding in the whole process! Thanks guys!

The neck is silky smooth and the Action is amazingly close! I have a Tuff Dog Telecaster and this is just as comfortable! The Chocolate Brown Case is also a pleasant bonus! Thanks Taka, And Garth for putting this together

This guitar was a significant upgrade for me. Typically, I buy 2-300$ guitars and thought I’d go for it. Wow, should have done this years ago. This guitar sounds fantastic and looks great. It’s simply a beauty. With good lows and highs, it’s well balanced. Plugged in, it’s beautiful. I’m barely playing my electrics now and found new inspiration for song writing. I am not a country fan and play rock and blues, great for this guitar. This is like a trophy on my wall and I definitely recommend to anyone looking for a solid great sounding guitar and a fair price and with AMS payment plan, it’s a no brained.

Bought the guitar to just have as Garth fan and the looks of the sound hole. When I opened it up and played it, it looked great and sounded great. I have ended up playing out more than I thought that I would just based on the sound and ease of play. Sounds great running direct into my board.

I have played Takamine for around 28 yrs now. My current 28 yr old Takamine is being retired. I have tons of signatures on it from playing, picking, writing, and having the honor of meeting so many artist. Im putting it up for my kids to take it over. I looked for a while trying to find my next one, Im super picky of how they play btw and this Takamine GB7 blew me away. Not only does the cedar top with the rosewood back and sides give it a beautiful tone lows, mids, and highs but frets wonderfully. Smooth as silk!! Highly recommend the guitar to anyone as picky as I am! Good playing!
