IF you own OLD cassettes,CD's from years ago...this IS THE MACHINE you want. I was able to save an old cassette from 1971 to both CD and MP3 format. I was also able to give two flash drives to old band members I haven't seen since 1979. They were STUNNED at the quality. TASCAM is one if "THE" Iconic companies to trust for recording gear.
Yeah, there are other products on the market. I am OLD SCHOOL and trust CO's that have never let me down. Always remember. "Good stuff ain't cheap and cheap stuff ain't good" TRUST TASCAM and AMS. You'll be glad you did.

Since my early studio days of designing as well as producing. Tascam has always provided a Professional product you can depend on no matter the demand and long term usage. I still have some old DJ Mixed tapes requiring to be converted to MP3 and the occasional CD for those who still play CDs. The unit is a beast, sound quality is excellent and will not disappoint.

I was looking for something to save some of my recordings from a long time ago,(early 80s) and more. I was happy with how easy it was to save and create mp3s. With a little tweaking ,I have some solid recordings !!!! If I would have know it was this easy, I would have started a long time ago.Extra points for great price and service !!!!

The Tasam CD-A580 is a great piece of equipment. Great for anyone who still loves to listen to cassette tapes as I do or would just like to convert their old cassettes to a digital format.The cd player section of this all in one player is also great as well. Plus, I was pleased that it was rack mountable too...Exactly what I needed.

When I first received the product I thought it would do something different but being I called customer service they explained in more detail before I ordered the product I was told the machine would do what I expected but when I received it it wasn’t what I expected because I owned the machine in the past but they made the machine a little different anyway I thought about returning it but I made it work it’s a few extra steps but they don’t make them like they use to anyway it worked out in the end.

I absolutely love the productivity I get from this recorder. I am able to now transfer my vintage mixes from casettes to a digital format. Making cd's is a breeze with this machine. I highly recommend this product to any enthusiast.

Tascam has always been a favorite of mine. I bought this unit for the tape deck. I have 100's of old tapes to rescue & save to sd cards.
