Got this mic stand today. It's just solid. High quality and perfect for me. I put a matched pair of mics on it, adjusted the counter weight on the stand and wow, perfect. I would buy this all over again should I need another one. I don't see how you could go wrong with this stand. I have other stands, but I'd trade them all for this one.
And I wanted to say thanks to AMS for the excellent response I received when I placed the order. I got text alerts for each stage of the order. I never had to go to the website to check the status and tracking. I've used Sweetwater, Guitar Center, Sam Ash, etc., but I'm coming back to AMS for anything I need. No other online store has provided such great communications. And prices are basically the same, except that I noticed on some stuff AMS beats Sweetwater. Just saying. Thanks AMS!

The quality is better than expected at this price point and the ability to mount a heavier mic without continuously tightening the boom is just what was needed in the studio. For the price point, it was a steal. The TASCAM Tripod Boom Mic Stand is a quality stand. Especially when looking around at competition. I had no expectations going in. I bought a Blue Baby Bottle SL and the counterweight was a clutch feature. So I would tell you to do the same and give this stand a go.

Good value for the price. Miles better than the bargain bin models. Protect your mic investment by putting them on decent quality stands. The counter weight is great and balances out even heavy LDCs no problem.

So this microphone stand is good and pretty sturdy. The only thing is if you have a heavy pop filter, or reflexion filter to go along with your microphone you might want to go with a thicker stand.

Needed a better stand to hold a heavy condenser. Does it’s job. It did arrive a little chipped (which is gonna happen to a stand eventually) but unfortunate when brand new. AMS discounted it and it wasn’t even their fault. Great service!

Strong. High quality. Counterweight is great to ensure the mic is safe. I'm 6'5" so it's great to have the boom stand for that extra height. I was a bit confused by the adaptor on the top since it wasn't compatible with my mic holder, but the adaptor screws right off, and afterwards the mic screwed on perfectly.

I was using a regular boom mic stand for my recording studio. The weight of my recording mic made the stand tip over and I had to lean it up of my council. Then I saw a tripod mic stand with a counterweight from TASCAM.
The tripod makes it super sturdy and the counterweight balances the weight of my recording mic so it wont tip over. No more using my council to balance my mic. I don't know why no one previously had offered a product like this, but I give it an enthusiastic FIVE stars. Thank you Tascam and thank AMS for carrying this product.

If you’re looking for a quakity microphone stand that isn’t too expensive this is a great option. The counterweight feature makes the world of a difference when it comes to making sure your microphone is as stable as it could possibly be.
Very easy to assemble although the manual gives no clear direction on how to assemble.
The overall construction and materials are nice quality but not the highest end. I use this for my home recording studio. I was tired of buying $25 microphone stands that would start to lose balance on its own over time. This stand is Definitely worth the extra dollars in investment.
