Product Rating Product Review Guitar came with a tiny hairline crack and AM was so responsive and helpful in getting the return label sent and instructions emailed! Even with a tiny crack the guitar was beautiful and played so smoothly. Will 100% be buying from AMS again. Not to mention shipping was SO fast. I got it 2 days after ordering!

Product Review The quality and sound are outstanding. Sure, it doesn't have the ornate decorations that the much pricier models have, but for the money, you cannot beat the sound and ease of play with this guitar! Love it!!

Product Review I received the guitar yesterday and after playing it for about half an hour I was ready to box it up and send it back. My first nylon string guitar so I was underwhelmed with the projection of sound. The wider neck takes getting used to. I don’t have an acoustic amp so it sounded ok through the amps I have. Today it’s a whole new guitar as I humidified it over night. I can’t put it down. I think it needed to acclimate to my dry desert climate. I have a Taylor Cujo with a concert body and while it’s not on par with that, this Taylor plays fantastic and sounds great. So glad I bought it. I received it in 4 days so thank you AMS.

Product Review Taylor guitars have always been priced very high. Do you know why? Because they are worth ever dollar. From the headstock to the lower bout, the NE classical is perfect. Literally! I was a bit concerned about the smaller nut width. After I played it for an hour straight( could not put it down) I realized that this is a new creation of the nylon string guitar. Get one today. Don't waste money on any other guitar. Buy a Tylor.even if is the only guitar you own; you will never be disappointed with your Tylor.

Product Review The guitar was spotless, plays great, love the armrest and the radiused fretboard (not flat like a normal classical). Sounds great plugged in, too. This is the second guitar I've bought from American Musical (both Academy series) and it probably won't be the last.

Product Review I really didn't think of Taylor as a classical guitar company, and I was wrong! The A12eN is a fantastic, quality built classical on it's own, but the built in tuner makes it ready to take on stage. It came impeccably set up, action as perfect as it can get. I do stand when I play, and Taylor always puts a strap pin at the heel of the neck. Perfect. The sound unplugged is pretty good, and plugged in, you can dial in just about any sound you want with the simple EQ. The only thing you will probably want to change right away are the strings (kinda meh). And of course, lightning fast shipping from AMS!!

Product Review Most nylon string "crossover" guitars play very well and amplify well, but sound terrible unplugged. The Taylor A12eN has succeeded in all areas. The action is very good, and it plays great. The ebony fretboard is smooth and the fretwork is spot on, with no sharp edges or high spots. The neck had a little relief which I adjusted to my taste and still had no feet buzz. The pickup system is exceptional. I received several positive comments when I plugged into the PA at my church. It sounds very natural, with none of the piezo quack I often hear in nylon string guitars. But what is surprising about the A12 is how it sounds acoustically. It is full and rich. The basses are tight and the trebles have a lot of sustain. The intonation is about as good as it gets and notes above the 12th feet are very articulate. Lastly, it is a beautiful guitar. The varnish finish does not make the guitar look cheap like some other makers. The gig bag is very sturdy with more than enough padding. Taylor has hit a grand slam with this one. Even though it is marketed as a student model, it can compete with guitars costing twice as much. Five stars!

Product Review Tuning machines are very good and holds tune perfectly. I own both non-electric and and electric acoustic. On both instruments, the satin finish are nice, however, I find the comfort arm rest a bit sharp on the edge, but took a 800 grit Emory to it and soften it to "my" comfort....not a big deal, then french polished, just to seal it.

Product Review I have been playing music for right around 30 years. As far as the acoustics I have owned, I have always gone out and found old guitars and retooled them myself. I injured my hand a few years ago and I have been slowly working myself back to it. This is my very first brand new guitar. I bought it as milestone. I love it. It is nearly as playable, right out of the box an my 50 year old Brazilian classical. The setup is nice, the machine heads are smooth, and the fretboard is very comfortable. The tones are brighter than i expected, but all the depth of the classical sound is still there. The built in tuner is a great feature. The electronics seem solid. The pickup is strong. It sounds great through a small amp. All in all, if you are looking for nice classical guitar with a great sound and pickup, Taylor made it for you.

Product Review I have coupled this with a Tonewood Amp and using an iPad for Midi strings section. The two pair very well and the voicing of this guitar really brings out the midi in a very balanced way. Everyone is amazed at the sound verses my previous setup.

Product Review This guitar is excellent. While marketed as a beginner-level guitar, it looks, feels, plays and sounds more like a quality intermediate instrument. The sound is vibrant and well-balanced, with decent volume when playing both finger style and strumming. The neck, as with every Taylor I've ever played, is so smooth you might be able to convince yourself that the notes are playing themselves. While it has a varnish finish instead of the flashier gloss found on so many guitars these days, the construction is impeccable and the guitar has an old-school, simplistic beauty to it. All in all, this guitar easily surpasses other guitars in its price range. A great deal on an outstanding guitar from Taylor!

Product Review Sounds great plugged in, it’s a little weak unplugged. But for the price I think it’s a pretty good deal.
