The best thing about this stand in my opinion is the way that it folds up. I carry two of these in my gig bag this was a pain with other stands. Very sturdy and reliable stand.

This is good, I like it. There is a similar one for $10 more,and one for $20 more($49.) These won't hurt nitrocellulose finishes.

Do NOT waste your money!!! Although it is a nice 'thought/idea', in practice is just doesn't hold up very well at all. I have owned these for just a little over 6 months with minimal use. I've gone on a few gigs and rehearsals with it and used to hold my guitars at home. The problem is the locking legs...or rather the un-locking legs!!! The locking mechanism for the legs just don't work well. Out of the 3 that I ordered, 2 have already broken. Although you lock the legs with the orange lock, when you stand the guitar up in the stand, the legs will give out. They have not been abused in the least bit. My guitars are not heavy either. One is a hollow body. Search Youtube for this problem.
Another thing, it's not very easy to move your guitar around on stage with one hand. Either the neck with twist in the holder and your guitar will fall or you hold the guitar neck and holder and the stand will come undone on the top pivot.
They're going in the trash.

This is the best guitar stand on the market, bar none. It is more stable, easy to use, and folds up quickly and smaller than any of the rest. And plenty strong enough for the heaviest bass, and gentle enough for the finest Gibson guitar.
They last and last, I've got some that are nearly 15 years old and they still work like new, not junky and rickity, solid and stable, worth the price.
Nice black powder coated finish, withstands the rigors of touring. The rubber and foam parts are equally tough.
15 years and still like new, what other brand of stand can say that?
