Product Rating Product Review It's great to have a AC 30 top boost in a simple single channel configuration. Love the weight reduction. Same power less weight works well for me as getting older is hard to lift the heavier 211 version.

Product Review This thing is not only loud but the high and low ends sound so damn good. Especially if your signal is "all analog". No doubt the amp is incredible, the tubes are huge! Speaker is really good. I gotta say tho it is missing the warmth that something like a deluxe reverb, but hey its nit-picking at this level. Last amp you will ever need if you're a Vox fan. If your a Fender fan, buy the Deluxe Reverb Or HotRod Deville. Of course AMS was on time, on the spot, and helpful as always. Thanks AMS!

Product Review I found this amp to be a welcomed addition to the Vox line up. As expected, I really liked the 1x12 format for its reduction in weight. The simplicity of the controls also was a welcomed featured. The only thing I didn't care for was the speaker choice. Having it for several months, I thought that after breaking it in it might improve, but I just don't feel this particular speaker is a good choice for this amp. With that said though, you could easily swap it out for something you prefer. I'd still recommend the amp!

Product Review great tone, great price, overall a great purchase. it doesn't weigh a ton and it's not ear shatteringly loud. exactly what i was looking for in a 1x12 combo.

Product Review This amp sounds fantastic! It has the punch and bell tones you'd expect from an AC30 and whatever they did with the single Celestine just works. The only caution is that you probably won't be able to turn the volume up past about 1/4 if you're at home, 1/3rd if you have lots of space between you and your neighbors, or 1/2 if you value your hearing. This sucker is loud!

Classic Vibe, Modern Features

Product Review At 54 lbs, it weighs much less than an AC30. But it’s really loud. And even though it’s not an alnico blue Celestion, it sounds great. There’s a gain and master for grit at any volume. And, there’s an effects loop so your time and modulation effects are after the preamp and sound great. The digital reverb even sounds good. I own a ‘65 Fender Deluxe Reverb reissue w/a JBL 12”, a Marshall DSL20 w/a Greenback 12”, and a Peavey Classic 30 w/a JBL 12”. The day this one came, I was putting it through its paces, with my Les Paul and my Tele plugged straight in, no effects. After about 20 minutes, my wife came out of the bedroom and said, “That’s the best sounding amp you own.” This one’s a winner.

Small package, big punch

Product Review I've had this for a month and a half. The first thing that blew me out of the water is just how loud it is. The second thing is that even with the gain turned up, the volume knob on the guitar makes all the difference between clean & thick overdriven tones. The low end is actually quite surprising. I have to take some out and add some high-end to my tastes (may also be a result of my pedals). Stacked overdrives are a treat and this takes fuzz really well. I do recommend the FX loop for anything more than chorus in terms of modulation. This just doesn't seem voiced to allow the delay/reverb pre-amp, but at least you have that option of the FX loop.... and boy, what a treat that is!

Great AC 30 Chime without the extra weight!

Product Review Sounds great straight in and takes pedals well. I have an older 2x12 that weighs a considerable amount more. The reverb is pretty decent sounding. I’m able to clean it up with my volume knob rolled back and then get a nice crunch with it turned up. Great amp and reasonably priced. AMS is great with the fast shipping on their products!

Product Review I like this because it’s just bare bones tube amp. Simple and sounds great. With the right pedals your off and running.

An AC30 for sure but with its own character - focused harmonics.

Product Review I will review this item to say that it is worth much more than its weight reduction. All of the expected AC30 mojo and chime (plus headroom not available in the AC15) is present but with a very tightly focused bloom field - direct and perfect for microphone placement. The gain station yields quite a bit of volume and with it some hiss that I was able to avoid by placing my pedals in the loop send and return. I am very happy with this purchase and recommend the AC30-S1 to any Vox fan that leaves his regular AC30 at home due to its weight. Truly fantastic.

Product Review Every guitar player worth their salt knows Vox along with fender and marshall were the amps that brought rock to the masses. Sadly for the past couple decades Vox has fell to the background as newer, boutique companies came and went. With the rise in medium sized combos that you can pair with pedals this really seems like a no brainer and they really have knocked it out of the park with these amps. Simple control layout, just set the gain to taste and use the volume to dial in how loud you need to be. Don't be fooled by the 30 watts, I've giggled over 50 shows with this thing and have yet to be told to turn up. Ultimately if you're a pedal user and haven't liked fender hot rods or marshall dlc40s, this just might do it for you. Quality made as well.

Product Review I am so glad I got this instead of the AC30 that weighs twice as much. I can play any local gig with this. Seeing the shocked faces and its output ability has been great too. I am in love. My 73 Gibson L6-S and My Fender Strat have great tone with this amp and I imagine any axe does.

Product Review An AC30 that doesn't weigh 80lbs? Yes please. Great stage amp that sound good at all volumes. Also has a whole lot less knobs so really easy to just set and play. Been a long time Fender tube amp player but this is my number one now.

Product Review Sometimes simplicity is enough. There is nothing really fancy about this amp. It is just plain and simple plug in and play type, but that's where everything changes. This amp sounds marvelous!!! Once you hear it you'll probably attest to that. For it to be so simple with its knobs it really sounds great. I am a clean sound man myself. If the amp doesn't sound good clean I can't use it. I also think this amp is a great platform for your pedal board or whatever kind of pedal situation that you use. It also has enough power for most uses. I like it because it has a certain smoothness.
