Plexi drive is a great tone enhancer.Works good with other distortion pre sets on a pedal or amp pre set.It gives good support for leads and also rhythm.The bright is very good for metal and the regular pre set on the plexi is a great blues and rock sound .One main thing you can use it to thicken up your clean channel and still have that pretty sound .It is a unique pedal that can come in handy when creating your own sound and music.

I played a vintage Plexi back in the ‘80’s and searched for years for that SOUND. This pedal is as close as I have gotten to that legendary tone. The controls are sensitive and the pedal is easy to use, plus the Union Jack graphic make it look as cool as it sounds. Use this with a cabinet simulator for direct recording and you won’t be disappointed. Worth every penny!

I own about 12 pedals of all varieties. Most of them I regret buying and I have sold dozens prior. I am a tone freak. This Wampler deluxe Plexi drive is now dominating my stomp sounds. I own two vintage Plexi amps and I can't say it is exact in tone, in many ways it's better. More "Marshellesque" growl available if you want extra gain. It also can be tamed down to sound VERY a very vintage.It is a cliche to say "Marshall in a box" , but if any pedal achieves it ,it's the Wampler Duluxe Plexi Drive.
Highly recommended and at a reasonable price for its capabilities.
