I've almost bought this several times and I really wish I had bought this a long time ago. It covers the entire territory of my muff and fuzz face. Cleans up beautifully. As someone who buys and sells gear constantly. This one is a keeper

I know I haven't had a fuzz pedal in 20 years. But this Wampler Velvet Fuzz should be on every pedal board. Wampler has brought the fuzz pedal a long way from the 70's. There is so much variety of sound available here. From Cream, Hendrix, SRV and everywhere in between. Within minutes of plugging this in I had found 20 distinct sounds I like. And I have a history of hating effects pedals. And the best part of this pedal is the way it responds to how hard you pick and where you set your guitar volume. It literally responds to how you are playing. Not just a fuzz, but overdrive, and can be cranked into compression. This is the pedal to really play around with. You'll be amazed at the different sounds you have at your fingertips. I have been playing around with this for about three weeks, and it still surprises me - and the other guitarist in the band.

The Velvet Fuzz is just packed full of killer tones. I was going back and forth on which fuzz pedal I wanted, but hearing the lead tones that this thing was capable of...it was the clear winner. It's extremely versatile from a overdriven velvety fuzz to sweet lead tones to absolute filth. You can dial in exactly what you're looking for with this pedal. Only thing that drives me crazy, and it's not just this pedal, is you have to buy a power supply separately if you don't want to go through 9V batteries like they're candy. That said, it does come with a 9V battery for those that just want to open the box up and get to playing right away.

Well now, I've Put this Wampler Velvet Fuzz through the Paces for nearly 2-Months now!! I've Tweaked Every Knob, Ran it with Toggle Switch in the 'BIG' Mode AND in the 'TIGHT' Mode. This Velvet Fuzz by Wampler IS THE FUZZ PEDAL OF ALL FUZZ PEDALS!!!! I Give it "10 Stars" out of 5 Stars (LOL)!! This Velvet Fuzz certainly Befits its Name "VELVET"!!!! SMOOTH, CLEAR, VERY OPEN, Yet FULL and POWERFUL when Needed!!!! This Velvet Fuzz is one of the Most VERSATILE FUZZ PEDALS I have ever used with ALL My Other Pedals!!!! You are able to Get "BIG" FULL-ON FUZZ TONES like Hendrix and other 1960's and 70's Guitarists,.... Yet with just the Flick of the Toggle into the "Tight Mode": And You'll get the FUZZ Tones, Sensitivity, and REAL TIGHTNESS like the DEFINED FUZZ TONES of David Gilmour and the SEARING CRISP VIOLIN LEAD FUZZ TONES of Eric Johnson and other Contemporary Guitarists!!!! Sounds Good Through A Clean Amplifier Even At Low Volume. Hard, If Not Impossible, To Dial In A Bad Setting. Researched About Every Fuzz Available Before Buying This One. Glad I Did.
