This is the first Warm Audio mic I've purchased!
This company knows a thing or two. Built like a tank and feels like it could survive combat!
I've only used on it on vocals so far but right away I
noticed how the vocal track site in that sweet spot and has a warmth to it.
Can't wait to try it on guitars and drums. Great mic for your arsenal!

This mic is the truth!
I know it’s not a direct comparison, but I shoot the WA47 out with a Flea 48 and the 47 is often a favorite.
Holds it own next to the telefunken U47. This mic is a no-brainer!

I was blown away by the fidelity and crisp airy sound this tube mic has. Warm Audio definitely know what they're doing over there. I would recommend this to anyone serious about improving their sound quality in their studio. I only wish that the power supply had a case too, that's it. Otherwise perfect for what I need.

I've had several 47 mics in the past. This sounds amazing on almost every voice. It's become my go to mic. Price point is amazing and the staff have been great with any customer service issues. Definitely have become a Warm Audio fan and over the past year also purchased their 414, 251 and 67 along with their WA273 pre amp. I used the WA414 and WA273 for some guitars on the latest Skynyrd single, Last Of The Street Survivors, and the band loved the sound. The build quality is great and I'm not sure how they keep the price so reasonable but looking forward to the next chapter with Warm.

I own the wa87 and the wa47 jr and have been impressed with those mics but the wa47 is on a whole different level, when it works it’s just magic. First time to really try it out was on a female vocalists and couldn’t believe the depth and fullness I was able to get . I honestly don’t understand how they can sell for this price. If you don’t have several thousand for an original I can’t see how you can go wrong with this mic. It’s the sound you have heard a thousand times.

I wasn't surprised with this product from Warm Audio, I have the WA73 and Bus-Comp. However, when I got the WA47 in my hand the weight alone I was sold on. The microphone is very warm sounding and great on drums if needed. Vocals depending on the singer, you may just have a hit on your hands!!

One of the best investments I’ve made in my home studio set up by far.. the WA47 produces such silky smooth and full vocals that cut threw the mix perfectly . Recording hip hop /RnB /rock vocals with a wide variance in vocal ranges , each take has been top quality to say the least . Went from a blue bluebird to the WA47 and noticed undeniable difference in overall quality each take..this heavy duty and well crafted gem is a must have for large studio recordings to the home studio beginners, for the price and American audios amazing payment plans and quick shipping , I highly recommend this mic to add to your collection ! This microphone is a solid tool to add a warm condenser sound to a mix that also has a bit of saturation baked into the character of the mic. My vocals sit presently in a mix and I have to do less EQ work to get the vocals in the mix. It also works great as a drum mono room mic, and acoustic. This thing is special for sure.

the warm audio wa47 microphone is a great addition to any mic collection. it is reasonably priced for the quality and sound and sits very well in the mix. the vocals can be pristine and right up front, or subtle and present in the mix. it responds very well with acoustic guitar as well, about 14" in front of the 12th fret seems to work great for what I'm looking for. it's definitely a keeper!

Best on the market and in it’s price range. Warm Audio founded by Bryce Young is grassroots success story. The guy started Warm Audio with one simple build and looks what it’s become. They make some of the best of not the best replicated vintage gear you’ll find on the market in any price range. The fact that it’s so cheap compared to many of it’s competitors is just a bonus. I purchased from AMS the WA-47 and immediately had one of the most sought after mic designs ever made. A nice reflection of the amazing Neumann U47 it probably makes a lot of studios and studios wonder why they spent so much on the original. I’ve used both and quite honestly I prefer the WA-47.. You know you’ve got a good mic when you’re mixing “in the box” off of a DAWs and see how much less plugins (practically none) you’re using the shape the sound/tone sonically.. I’ve done a couple of tracks since I’ve gotten it a week ago that I’ve literally done no EQ’s on it besides what was on the outboard preamp which was only a Gain and Master Volume.. I’ve been in and worked in recording studios where the mic lockers is the size of huge walk-in closet and are stocked with different vintage mics and is always reach for a U47 straight away because how it got used in more than one purpose and how I glistened automatically but I could never afford to get the one home. Warm Audio’s Version (WA-47) of that classic mic Allows me to have that mic and own that mic and with AMS’s payment plan it was a no wait situation, I could do it and purchase it right away! I highly recommended this mic! You won’t be disappointed..

This is an awesome sounding mic! I can't say I've compared to a Neumann U47 so I can't comment on that aspect and all I've used it on so far are vocals, but I have several high end condenser mics and this mic sounds as good or better than any of them. For the price this mic will be really hard to beat.

Forget taking out a second mortgage for a German microphone; this microphone RULES! I have been using the WA-47 as a first choice vocal mic for months now, and I couldn’t be happier. On arrival the build quality was impressive, the shock mount is sturdy and the box it came in is great for storage. Everything was wrapped in plastic and sealed well. The finish is suprisingly pristine and looks like any 2k microphone out there. I burned in the tube for 10 hours and then started my first recording. My wife sings in church and it was the perfect microphone for her. The noise shelf super low. It does not color the sound in any way that's noticable, its a very warm, clean sound. The preamp is solidly built, the controls are spot on and do exactly as advertised. The mic cable provided to go from the preamp to microphone is robust and will last for a long time. I purchased a new pop filter to go with it and man this thing is amazing. I have a ton of gear, Nueman Tlm 103, AKG Solid Tube, Audio Technica 4060, AKG 414 gold, Shure SM 7b, EV-RE20, Shure SM44.
This mic fits my wifes voice like a glove and if you do your research I'm certian you will not be dissapointed at all. The YouTube videos made me skeptical and I honeslty wondered if it would perform as advertised. It absolutly did and surpassed my expectations. For the money it's a great buy!
American Musical Supply puts on the red cape with the yellow S once again and delivers a SUPER MIC, on time and without a blemish!

This is an amazing warm mic. I run it through My Solo 610 into the EQP-WA, into the WA-2A and then into my Apollo. MAGIC. Tube deliciousness. I’ve also recorded just strait into the Apollo. I was tge head producerof a major commercial studio in S Florida that was decimated by Hurricane Irma last year.
It was a dream job at a studio filled with
a half million dollars of some of the planet’s most amazing gear. That studio is no more, and I miss the amazing gear.
The thing I miss the very most, though , was the Neumann U47 that I used on every vocal track of every artist that walked through the doors there.. After using a U47 for 2 years and not being able to plunk down a years worth of mortgage payments on a mic was depressing to say the least .I missed the warmth ,saturation, and vividness of a U47.I had an ‘87 and $5k worth of great mics, but nothing came close. Intuitively I knew that only a great tube LDC woukd give me what I needed.. I put $1k together and began researching mics and reading reviews of every tube LDC
on the market and talking to every studio guy I knew.I bought the WA,47. I’m thrilled! I know now why they call it “ the poor man’s U47!” !!!

This is an amazing Mic, it can’t do everything, but if you like that up close super honest, warm Ray Lamontange sound on your vocals and acoustic guitar this is your mic. Only problem I had is the machining of the shockmount had a hard time fittting my mic stand. Warm had to send me another.

This mic is amazing! When it first arrived it took me a sec to get used to. But what I noticed is that it really grabs your vocal. This is a mic that you DO NOT have to sing hard or even use much effort compared to other mics. I’ve never used a mic that you can possibly over shoot your vocal on if your singing with a lot of effort. Great job guys! It really helps the process because you can get more songs done and not worry about your voice fatiguing too fast!

Really a great tube mic. I’ve used the orig u47 tube and fet versions many times. I can’t say it sounds exactly like either vintage , BUT it certainly captures that flavor in a great way. Warm and present with that Tubey smoothness. While also retaining clarity and realism. Don’t sleep on this mic.
