Product Rating Your general opinion of this product. At first this was my budget cymbal that I paired with a small Zildjian Trashformer for accents on metal fusion type material. I didn't like it much at first and then wear made it better. The Pentagon shape , for me, sheared off two of the points, ( about inch) , thats where it seems to crack. If you're looking for a sound I would push this but it needs to be broken in and in this case thats literally. I like it. Yeah, accenting cymbal / splash.. its been 2 or three years and its holding good. long wear life. the stress points seem to cleave off the points first so it'll generally change from its look to a 'rocktagon" shape .. I like the sound; its a not a rocktagon tho. good. see how you like it in 4 months layered as an accent above one of your rides or crashes. Doesn't concern me. yeah. I'd give it an extra 10 bucks of value. you might find some cool pings around. The looseness of your fastener will effect the tone specific to the ridges and valleys. The splash effect is there. to me the sound begins to resemble a steel cymbal with a very stuttery wash. Johnny Rabb fans might find the appeal. note.. this is now with two points broken off. When you start off, cost is value. I bought the 11"
