Product Review I own 17 guitars. My Yamaha a5r is at the number one stop in my list. Just maybe d28 or hummingbird might steal that spot on my list but that is over 1000 dollars in price more. I have high opinion of this Yamaha guitar. The only con I can think this guitar might have is not enough flash in looks. I highly recommended Yamaha a5r. Yamaha is to easy to play. Yamaha a5r is going to make me a rock star. Yamaha might buy one better when I find it just to have back up.

Product Review I read all the reviews I could find before buying this guitar; virtually all gave 5 stars and glowing praise. The tone produced by the guitar was great. My problem was how it felt to play. First, it seems very heavy. Second, for me the neck felt too thick; I am used to a slimmer oval. Finally, the nut width was too narrow. The specs claim 44mm which is about the same as 1 11/16". I measured it with calipers as 42.5mm. To compound it, the slots for the e strings seemed to be in a little to much from the edge, making the strings even closer together. It is a beautiful instrument with great sound, but for me it didn't work and I returned it.
