Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, but I think this pedal allows for half pedaling, which is pretty cool. This model is not compatible with my keyboards but I kept it anyway. I just step on it when one would normally release it. Great pedal, but check your model numbers first.

I purchased this pedal along with the PSR-SX700 keyboard. I have had other Yamaha keyboads and pedals before. This pedal is a definite improvement over the FC4. It feels more substantial and the new grip bottom actually helps the "creep". The pedal stays put a lot better, at least on the carpet. I haven't tried it on hard floor, but the new rubber "grippers" should help considerably. . I still attach a velcro strip to make sure it stays in place on the carpet.
The pedal action is firm and behaves like a piano pedal. It just feels more solid. I've only had the pedal for about a week, but I can tell it will last awhile. I would give it 5 stars if the "creep" was actually eliminated.

The Yamaha foot pedal is very is to attach and gives you complete control over the sound of your piano with the flexibility of moving your foot on and while playing without interrupting your performance. It also allows you to sustain chords and notes with a very cool tones and musical pitches especially when playing jazz blues or classical songs. I would strongly recommend this particular foot pedal by Yamaha to all amateur and professional musicians.

After trying many 3rd party branded pedals, the Yamaha pedal has proven itself to be the best when considering longevity and reliability. Others have stopped working after a few months but I haven’t been let down with the Yamaha pedal thus far! This pedal is one of the best to be used with a Yamaha keyboard hands down. This will be donated to one of the churches where I play to replace their current sustain pedal.

I've been ready for a 2nd sustain foot and this one is great. Excellent all around: price, well made and really all I could ask for. Feels sturdy under my foot and does what I want with my Yamaha keyboard. If a sustain foot is in your future, I highly suggest getting the FC4A, you will not be sorry.

I used one of these for over 20 years and it never let me down. You could pay a little less, but Yamaha does not get the complaints about reliability that the cheaper brands do. If this does the job you need done, there is no better choice. And bravo to AM for having it in stock when the competition didn't.

Well, it really is the best sustain pedal made for Yamaha keyboards. Can be programmed to do half pedaling and other tricks as long as the keyboard can handle those. Well made, looks good, handles gigging like a champ.

This is a perfect sustain pedal . I noticed that when I used it, it did a great job of sustaining sound without randomly reversing like other pedals do (other pedals willer everse where if you press down, it will unsustainable the sound and then sustain when you don’t press down) highly recommend! It also doesn’t slide all over the place either!

I have had many foot pedals in the past that weren't reliable. This one on the other hand is built to last. It's sturdy, it stays in place and doesn't slide all over the floor. For me, that makes it dependable! I would recommend it to other musicians as being top quality!

I believe this product does an excellent job as a sustain pedal. There's one thing that you must understand about this pedal and that is this pedal feels a little different from a sustain pedal on an acoustic piano. I like the technique of half-pedaling so that I could sustain certain notes and still get clarity. This pedal could not do the half-pedaling technique so you either press it all the way down or not at all.

This sustain pedal Is too freaking beautiful and well design. I like how it works for all yamaha keyboards, I don't like how it does not work well for other boards. (maybe it the jealous type lol). I have had for a month but been using the type of pedal for 5 years. This pedal Has met more than my expectations. This pedal helps out a lot good for traveling.
