I have played several gigs with this keyboard and I must say it's great. I am still finding my way around all it can do, but for solo gigs, it's the beast! I like the favorite category and the ability to store performance patches.

Ive been using the Montage 6 for 8 months now for live performances and I love the sounds and the expansion features that is has. I was able to load all of my person sounds from my studio setup easily without any issues... Is certainly surpassed my expectations and has become the main keyboard in my live keyboard rig.

The first thing I noticed were the sounds are of good quality. The sounds in this keyboard sound way better than previous boards. Whether you’re a music producer or musician, the montage should be in your arsenal. The 2nd thing I noticed where the feel of the keys. The keys feel and are much better than previous boards. Last but not lease, this board has such a cool look. I would be remiss if I didn’t mentioned it’s versatility. This board is very easy to operate and design your own sounds. You can’t go wrong with the montage.

This is a great keyboard for sounds and as a workstation, take some time to learn it and it'll do everything...great for recording as well.

Up your sound game. Its a must have, better than all these vst's out there. Just buy the real thing. All the sounds are plush. we made 25% back on what we spent on the keyboard. we are now retracking old songs with new and better sounds. It gives all of our tracks body and realism. Thanks for the easy payments too.

When the Yamaha Montage was first announced I was very skeptical. I was one of the few people that hated the Yamaha Motif XF. It was a really big board for no reason. As time went on a close friend of mine purchased one and offered me an opportunity to try it out. To my surprise I was floored by it's sounds. Pristine and clear. Not to mention a smaller footprint than it predecessor. I fell in love with it and I ended up purchasing it and have been gigging with it ever since. I absolutely love it and would suggest to anyone to check it out and buy it!!!

I love the Yamaha Montage 6. I got exactly what I paid for. The board is easy to use with excellent feature functionality. The super nob is a great addition adding a nice touch to some of the traditional sounds. The board may seem a little heavy to tug around for gigs, however with the right gig bag this obstacle can be easily overcome.

I never had a motif but I did try a MOXF8 for a month so here are my thoughts.
I was using a Triton LE as a midi controller and VST's. My Triton is no longer with us so I needed to move on. I got the MOXF but I just couldn't get into it. The menu and so many button pressing was a turn off. I just didn't take the time needed with it and I tried to use it as an audio interface and it sounds so low and thin. I took it back. Then I thought about NI Komplete S 88 and a new audio interface but soooo much money with no sounds. So I tried the Montage and the Kronos and the Kronos menu gave me an instant headache. It was like saga genesis or Nintendo DS with a little pen. The Montage was the winner. It's like a VST being controlled by an IPad!! And the audio interface is the best I've ever used. Now I use the sounds in the montage more than my VST's and it saves on processing power. I still think it's over priced by $600 so get a used one
