I love the Yamaha MX61 V2-61. The sounds are exquisite in this lightweight keyboard. I have the MX49 also and had to invest in the 61 key version for more flexibility and keys. I am just starting to get into it more and has some bite to it.

I've had this keyboard/controller for two weeks now. It's exactly what I was looking for. I bought it for composing and recording for a home music studio. As a keyboard it comes with a vast amount of instruments, rhythm patterns and programs with multiple voices. You can play the keyboard along with songs stored on a USB flash drive. You can compose on it. It also works as a controller with composing software on your computer.

I absolutely love this workstation. The presets are endless. The sounds are realistic, defined and easily manipulated. The software is very easy to use. Lightweight, portable and the blue color is perfect. I highly recommend this to any skill level. The price is almost to good to be true. The sound quality is phenomenal, and being able to adjust the knobs around with options like ADSR is a great feature. A great thing I enjoy is the 'layer' feature, which allows you to play two different presents at the same time.
I've had the keyboard for about two weeks. The price for the keyboard led my expectations to be high; They were met as soon as I played my first chord.

I could not be any happier with piano, strings, and synthesizer sounds...and more that this beautiful keyboard is equipped with! The different sound combination's that are possible from the different sounds seem pretty close to limitless! It is so easy to set your specific keyboard split points, and the option to layer sounds, and blend them together at different volumes... with VCM effects is so much fun to create with! This keyboard was a gift for my fiancé to replace an old keyboard that I accidentally broke while cleaning. Unbeknownst to me, this was the exact keyboard he had previously owned that was stolen out his apartment one day which made him miss many gig opportunities. Every since he has had this keyboard, he has been gigging and getting wonderful opportunities. The keyboard integrates with the IMac seamlessly when he uses it to record and produce instrumentals. This product has been proficient in its use. Best Buy ever!

Bought this Yamaha MX61 because it was recommended by a friend since I wanted the Yamaha motif but,, of course,, couldn’t afford it. This keyboard it’s amazing!!!! It has a lot of features like the motif. I truly recommend this Yamaha it’s a keyboard that is not heavy and does not take a lot of space. ??

I bought this product for church... Best decision ever... For small churches, you get big sounds for an affordable price... The sounds give an amazing worship environment.. Great improvement from the previous yamaha we had!!! Will continue buying from the MX series with time and money, and will continue purchasing with AMS, thanks to their payment plans.

I was in search of a keyboard with quality sounds that was small and lightweight since I travel for shows and events regularly and lugging around a 80lb 88 key had gotten old. I was looking for something to use in our contemporary christian band at church and the Yamaha MX61 fits the bill perfectly. I love the split keyboard, which gives me the ability to play the bass, as well as play along with the chords, or improvise a solo or two. The rhythm kit helps add more excitement and instrumentation to our already great sound. Five stars for sure!

I love this Yamaha keyboard! The Yamaha MX61 is loaded with many great sounds from their Motif series. There are many great piano, organ, string, brass and synth samples to chose from. The layout is simple and the keyboard is very easy to use. It’s a great live performance synth, and has all of the features that I needed for a stage keyboard. The layer option is a great feature. It’s very light weight. The only thing that was a bit disappointing is the “wall wart” power supply that was included with the keyboard.

I'm sure I haven't scratch the surface of what this keyboard can do, but the MX61 offers great Yamaha sounds in an easy to use package. For live performance I love being able to layer the sounds and control the volume of each. Not to mention it's lightweight. Nice Organ Digital Leslie, Piano and strings sounds. The Cubase bundle was a great added bonus!

The Yamaha MX61 (no 1) is a great keyboard with many of the Motif sounds. It is easy to navigate the voices. They are beautiful!
The only problem is the case on many 61 key keyboards. They are narrow to play on some X stands and not sturdy. That is the only problem though.
Yamaha manufacturers are brilliant and have the best piano and keyboard sounds. I appreciate Yamaha trying to save people’s backs by making the keyboards less heavy.
The only change I hope Yamaha would make is the width of the 61 key keyboards which would add a little more weight.
I sold my Yamaha MX61.

This is a nice little keyboard. The sounds are not the greatest, but it covers all your basic piano, strings, synth and the like very nicely. It makes for a very nice second keyboard and/or a controller. It has Yamaha's performance mode where you can easily set up your layers and splits for your song set. The blue color looks great on stage, on the second tier of my silver color Spyder Pro stand. For the price and especially the 0 interest payments plan, you can't go wrong.
