the best of the 80s Walkman looks but with a sound of the 2000s. Definitely ordering a few more pairs...if you want light-weight headphones with a heavy weight sound...then these are for you!

Yamaha RH1C 'phones are a real value, astounding fidelity for the price. Very flat and well articulated response- no hyped deep lows or over-emphasized highs. I use a pair for reference monitoring while mixing (along with a pair of '70s JBL L16 and Sony 7506, the brutally accurate "NS10" of headphones), and they're well suited for that. The RH1C fit well on the ears, so comfortable you forget they're on, and the extra long cable is handy at a recording desk (or a couch in front of a TV!). The only downside, and it's minor, is their low sensitivity rating - hooked up to a phone, you have to crank the volume; but even then, never any distortion. On any pro or home recording level piece of gear, or plugged into a computer, there's plenty of headroom. 6 stars, 3 thumbs up, highly recommended.

Great, the sound held through even the highest or lowest notes, plus it works with any effect (phaser, chorus, etc.)
Not enitrely closed, but the foam does close around the ear a little bit. But thats what i would add.
Very easy to use.
Great value, its practically a steal!
