Blown away by the Yamaha Thr5! I heard a lot of praise over the years about this amp and finally decided to give it a try. I can’t recommend this amp enough for anyone who wants a nice small practice amp at home. From Clean to metal this thing sounds great. The effects sound very good as well. Don’t let the speaker size fool you. This thing has a nice full sound for its size. I use mine with a Nux wireless unit and it makes this the most simple little practice set up ever. This amp is a keeper. I love it!

This purchase was actually on behalf of a friend - I've had my old THR10 for many years now, and when he asked me if I knew of any good starting amps to sit around and play on, I showed him mine. We checked this THR5 out at AMS and I ordered one for him that same day.
Checking it out on arrival, it is perfect for his use, the amp selection and effects all work great and not complicated to use, and the AUX input jack works like a charm to add music to play along with. Not to mention it is tiny, light, built tough, kind of stylish(?) and really quite loud for its size. Perfect little practice amp for your electric guitar.

Love this work horse! Place it anywhere and plug in. Love it live. Mike it and play. The effects are perfect and easy to control. The variety of sound quality surprises. I bought it and enjoyed it immediately.

This has it all.the great tube sounds,all the effects just dial it in and your all set.rugged and reliable yet so portable and compact.its truly everything I could want in an amplifier.the price on these is so affordable.i can't say enough good things about it.buy one!

Headline says it all. I absolutely love this amp. I now live in an apartment so it’s perfect for early/late practices. I love all the settings as well. It’s sounds great! I really cannot say enough about this little amp.

I’ve known about these for years but never pulled the trigger until now, I wished I would’ve gotten it sooner. I ordered the Yamaha on Saturday afternoon and it arrived on Tuesday morning, great job AMS! I opened it and immediately plugged in my SG. I was very pleased with the sounds from this amp. After watching many reviews I thought I’d skip the clean, crunch and lead channels, I went straight to the Brit hi and Modern channels and I wasn’t disappointed! Studio quality tone and very responsive to volume controls on the guitar. Most importantly, this little amp makes you want to play - highly recommend it!

I really like this with its broad spectrum of setups you can go from marshall stacks to clear acoustic with the touch of a button the only bad is where the power plug in ia a weak design and breaks easily I would like it to be hard wired at that point

I just received this little amp today and let me tell you, it is great. I have played for about 20 years and have plenty of equipment to choose from and this is my new go to home amp. now is it going to replace my stage gear, no, but it is so much easier to hook up and go at the house at low volumes. so in short if you live in a small place or with young kids like me, this is the perfect compromise between volume and sound quality.
