Product Rating Product Review Bought this bass for gigging as I was not going to take a boutique USA Made 6-String to a gig where it could get damaged. The neck had a bit of a backbow, but after adjusting that, the bridge was intonated and all, so must be just the climate change from shipping to my place. Great woods, pickups, and preamp. Best of all for me was the string spacing at 18mm and the neck is comfortable. It looks and plays like a boutique instrument at a fraction of the price.

This Bass Is Worth more than the Price!

Product Review When I unboxed the TRBX605, I was blown away by the finish and craftsmanship. It was in perfect condition. I immediately plugged it in and began to fiddle around with the EQ. The range of tones on this bass are out of this world. You can almost get any tone you can think of. I typically downtune my basses a whole step and this handled it with no problem. Some trading with the saddles and this thing sang great This bass punches well above its height! I have a MTD Super 5 and a Schecter Freezesicle 5 and this bass has become a top contender for my number 1 bass for shows. Absolutely worth the price! If you're on the fence about getting this bass, DO IT! When I tried to order one last year it was not in stock and I got a different bass. I wish this was in stock then because I would have saved time and money. I have played everything from Ibanez to Fender to Musicman to MTD and the Yamaha TRBX605 can hang with them all! Best purchase I've made!

Product Review For the last 19 years I've been playing on an rbx765a I recently picked up this one to replace it the Trbx 605 FM and natural Satin, and I am in love it's got incredible tone I can feel the resonance throughout it the action is wonderful the electronics have a huge array of tone you can pull from it and compared to the couple thousand dollar Warwick and other nonsensical priced basses I see no reason to play anything else ever again.

Product Review As the title says, it is very quick and simple to dial in a great tone. The pickups are quiet and the playability is the best I have felt so far. 18mm string spacing makes this an awesome slap machine and the narrowness of the neck is a dream to play. Do yourself a favor and pick one of these up and try it for yourself.

Product Review I have owned or played several basses in the last 30 years, and this bass is the one I decided to make my go to bass. Not only is it beautiful, but it sounds fantastic in either passive or active mode. The neck is smooth and easy to slide your palm up when changing positions. The controls are solid and smooth. You get a definite stop as you pan them to the center position, which is nice, no guessing. They feel much nicer than pots I've used on other basses above this price range. The finish is superb. And it's very well balanced, and light! My last bass was a heavy MM style and would really hurt my shoulder after an hour of playing. Not this gorgeous gal. And it has very nice sustain. In conclusion, this bass should cost twice what it's priced at. Get one!

Product Review This is a truly quality instrument and great value for the money. Straight out of the box, the look and feel of the bass is impressive and already felt right in my hands without needing a set-up or additional adjustments. Plugged in, the bass has an array of tonal options with both active and passive controls. Nice Jazz and Funk tones for days, but I'm sure other styles are in there as well. The different curves and contours make the instrument comfortable for extended play while sitting or standing. Very nice!

Product Review Best Sounding bass I have owned. I bought a Ibanez 5 string bass last year cost prob close to double than this guitar. Its blows that guitar out of the water. The low string actually has a full sound. not a thud. Would buy again!

Product Review The Yamaha TRBX605 is a "sleeper product". Similar in comfort to the Ibanez SR505, but better built and relatively unsung. Yamaha's attention to detail has produced a flawless specimen. Fit and finish on mine was perfect. You're going to hear demos on the internet and the bass' sound out of the box will not impress you. It's the strings. Not a good match for this bass. Throw a set of DR Pure Blues on it and it becomes a different beast. There aren't a lot of 5-string basses in this price range that can match it. The only thing I can think that can was the older Ibanez SR5 which was replaced by the poorer quality SR505.
