Very impressive listening to the acoustic algorithm. Finally I can play "The Year of the Cat" with no problem...lol
Looking forward to get the strange sound coming from the guitars of Gary Glitter's Rock & Roll. We'll see. Need to spend more time on it.!
Rare connections very up to date with the technology. Very cool interface.! Easy to manipulate.!!
I was really scared in the beginning.. Not any more. Besides it's a good price.!

It has stomp boxes, drum Rhythm a tuner and a looper all in one. It does all of them very well to. It also has a main volume a boost volume and a pedal volume.

I direct this to my interface to make metal/punk guitar recordings. Limited selection with cabinets and amp model settings. But the dialing this in this easy with the external knobs provided and internal. Very heavy casing for this model im impressed! Will probably save up for an HX stomp or DI software soon.

So I’ve got to say I’m an old school pedal guy first off. I’ve never bonded with effects processors and I’m not a huge fan of programming. Since my church worship team doesn’t use amps and wanted an amp modelerI instead. So I figured I’d try out the G5N. Super fast shipping from AMS gave me the chance to get in to it quickly and at first I wasn’t sure if it was for me. Remember, old school pedal and tube amp guy? Well, I found some patches online and at the included guitar lab app, did some tweaking, and then was blown away. I can get my sound on this board and then some. What’s great too is you can use a stomp box manual mode and switch on/off effects. It was next to nothing compared to my pedal board and coats less than some of my pedals do. I did a gig the other night and brought just the G5N and a guitar with me, plugged into the board and had a consistent clear great sound all night. Great job Zoom and thanks as always to AMS for the great service.

My last pedal was the Boss GT6. It was the best of its day. Now this Zoom G5n is my preamp powerhouse.It sounds great,easy to learn and use,very easy.Many amps distortions cabs that sound great.Many effects, all high quality,and fully adjustable .Zoom Guitar Lab is easy to use and keeps the pedal growing and staying on the cutting edge.Dont forget to turn your cab mike on,it sounds much better.If you crank it,you need to use the ZNR gate to stop pickup feedback, its a lot of power.The longer you have it,the more you learn it, the better your patches will sound,after a little while your guitar will sound so good you cant stop playing

I bought this after owning a BOSS ME-50 that sounds great but this Zoom board really has a lot more things to play with..I can literally get any sound you want and it does a really good job at imitating analog sounds... I use it with a tiny terror amp with the gain down and volume all the way up..sounds great.

I bought this pedal for my home church. I have this pedal connected straight to our PA and since this pedal have amp modeling it sound awesome and I don't have to worry about the sound stage. Great product. 5 stars!

This thing sounds pretty good and has lots of options. You can download software from the zoom website to make adjustments on your pc. There is also a third party software that works with it also. I will probably never delve into everything this thing can do, cause I’m mainly a “set it and forget it” kind of guy. It sounded good in front of my Mesa mark V, but sounds best in the effects loop using the clean channel. You can’t do 4cm, but for the price, it’s not a big deal.

This effects unit is sturdy - not worried about using it as a stompbox. The effects are reasonable, but do require lots of tweaking to dial in your particular sound. The included patches aren't all that impressive, so don't rely on what zoom puts in there for you. Best part of this is you can move your effects to whatever order you want to use them in - great for demoing different effects and order combinations. It's also nice to have a looper and drum beats to practice with. All in all, I'm happy with the pedal.
My only gripe is that the pedal had been opened previously, even though it was still in perfect condition.

I am a semi professional guitar player of 33 years. I like simple. I have never been a fan of effects processors or pedals in general. For years I used tube amps with footswitches for blues and classic rock, or the older line 6 high end amps for 80s hairband music and jazz. I plugged this thing in and was captivated by quality of the models and stompbox options, as well as the ease of use and the easy interface for editing and creating your own patches. It is also very easy to match volume levels between patches. The amp models have that tube punchiness also! Well done Zoom!!!
