Should've cost $69 instead of $99-- or should've came with accesory pkg. Buttons are too small, feels cheap but works ok- almost sent it back
Barely- cheap plastic
Buttons way too small
Has a lot of functions. Should have bigger buttons and accesory pkg included and made out of metal
Ok
Haven't had it that long

The lightweight plastic construction doesn't make the H1 feel very rugged or substantial.
Best feature has to be the simplicity of recording start/stop and marking. WIth that said, if I were to improve one feature it would be the on-off switch -- an endent or other more tactile feature would be helpful in those situations where I don't want to check the display to confirm system power up or power down.
My experience with the H1 remains limited as I haven't had the chance to really take it through all its functionality. That said, unit operations seems intuitive.
I am very impressed with the sound quality. I recorded one of our performances with the H1 sitting on the mixer board located off to the left and approximately 30' from the stage. The sound quality was surprisingly balanced and audience noise sat well in the background. Interestingly, when I downloaded the data to a DAW, I really didn't have to tweak the EQ much at all.
Haven't had it long enough to comment. I haven't had any issues with battery life, as some other reviewers reported.
Your general opinion of this product.
For my purposes -- which is basically for quick recording of ideas and band critiques -- this is a great product for the money.

Overall, very good. However, treat it like you would a $300 mic: place it safely when playing and store it in a good case where it's not apt to be damaged.
This unit acomplishes is designated task in a small package, easy way, and easy price. Best features: ease of use and accurate sound.
Well, we had a presentation by one of the members. All level of players easily understood its functions.
Really very good for it's size. Expect that it can deliver a pretty good impression of your playing. Hay, it not some major stereo system.
Yes, it seems a bit delicate but so is your instrument. Should last with a little care.
Your general opinion of this product.
If you're someone who wants to get into the process of playing and not engineering than it sure beats the loss of time invested in hooking-up recorders, mics and wires. Great value.

Great Value!

The quality is very good for the price.
I bought this for the value - I suppose that is its greatest feature. You can buy a number of more expensive units with more features if you want, so I really wouldn't advocate adding any features to the H1.
Very easy to use - this thing does just what it promises. It is easy to use and the manual gives you all you need to know.
The sound is clear if a bit bassy - certainly nothing that a little tweaking with some audio software can't fix.
Can't say - I just bought it and used it to record a couple of shows last weekend. I did drop it on a wood floor by accident and this did not seem to hurt it.
Your general opinion of this product.
I was extremely pleased with the H1. It isn't perfect, but it doesn't cost what perfect requires.

Very well made and dependable!!
The stereo mics give awesome separation. The 2G micro SD card gives you CD quality for 3 full hours!!!
It is so easy to use. Just turn it on. Turn on auto record and bit and freq you want. Hit red record button.
The 16 bit 44kHz is great!!! It also has 24bit 96 kHz which is studio quality!!!
Just had it since Christmas but it should last a long time with proper care.
Your general opinion of this product.
Easy to use. Clear as a bell. I recorded a litle country church service and you can hear everything!!!

H1 better than expected!

Excellent sound, flimsy build. The H2 is still my go to recorder for important stuff. I'd still use it more if I could keep a battery in it without it going dead setting in it's case!
Best feature has to be the sound quality. Nothing I've seen in this price range produces quality audio this spot on.
The thin manual makes anything not obvious easy to understand. Painfully easy to use!
Excellent sound quality!
In the few weeks I've had it, it's been very dependable, except twice when I've reached for it to find the battery was dead. That's how I learned about the power consumption when off issue. Should have at least been mentioned in the manual!!
Your general opinion of this product.
A great sounding recorder, just be really careful of the plastic housing! This unit needs metal threads for stand mounting, & I don't know if the battery will really work for 10 hours or not, because it's always dead after a few days just setting in the case! It drains the battery when it's off, SO REMOVE THE BATTERY when not in use!!! Unfortunately this makes it less "handy" to have on hand for recording things quickly. For this reason, the H2 remains my favorite.

It is all plastic and would not survive a drop from six feet but works well
Great high bit sound. would be better if you could overdub a second track
Real basic unit.Read the manual as you set it up.
the sound at 24/96 wave is fantastic but most media players wont play it back. I had to download a patch to get it to play on Media player.
I only had it for a couple of days
Your general opinion of this product.
simple and cheap.

Really Handy

It seems to be very well made. Everything fits well.
Size and low power consumption are the best features. The use of the Micro SD card makes it more reliable than Tape.
Very easy to use. It took two minutes with the instruction booklet.
I have been using it in WAV 16 bit mode, and it's as good as CD's Ive made using much more expensive gear.
So far, no problems at all.
Your general opinion of this product.
The most easily usable recorder I've ever owned.
