I was really worried this device would not match up to the H6 on Ayludio quality and cost me hours in post production..... boy was I wrong! Not only gave me the edge on as a shotgun for dead bang on quality audio, but delivers the essential tools of more that what it offered! Lavalieres work perfect on this as well and it’s a drop in the pocket out of site for filming! I’m happy cause so many others are out of my price range, as a Indy film maker, I don’t know what I would have done without this! But this you won’t regret it!

I purely bought this as a backup to my Audio Technica AT875R and one day it happened and used this as my boom mic using the headphone output to my recorder and it came out clean! This is a definite buy if you don't want to lug the Zoom H6 around.
Pros:
- All buttons have a positive click except the record, which is great because you are forced to visually verify if recording is on
- mini plug's screws is great feature for confidence in connections for line in and line out
- micro usb power saved me many times
- mic is excellent, more crisp than my AT875R
- use of other capsules for expansion, been using this more than H6
- audio interface option
- lav option
- no cheap plastic feel
- analog dial is a nice touch
Cons:
- 5 second startup (slower than H1n2)
- access to sd card is irritating, need to tuck the cover for clearance
- battery compartment takes practice, i hate it!!, insert the left side first, then press down and push lock towards right
- no phantom power to XLR capsule!
