A native of Brooklyn, NY, Tom has played guitar and saxophone in a variety of bands that have opened shows for Edgar Winter, Heart, Jason Bonham, Steve Miller Band and The Doobie Brothers. Now based in the Philadelphia suburb of Collegeville, PA, he currently plays sax with a 10-piece band called The Sofa Kings and guitar in a popular acoustic duo with his fiancée called Singles Going Steady. Tom also served as the house sound tech for a variety of NYC music venues back in the 80s and has worked with many popular artists such as The Ramones, REM, Joan Jett, Bon Jovi, The Stray Cats, Squeeze, and Madonna. Additionally, he had a previous life in Musical Instrument Retail, finishing up his tenure with Alex Musical Instruments on NYC’s famous Music Row as General Manager, then closing out a 19-year career with Sam Ash Music as Northeast Regional Manager. Tom has three grown children and currently earns his living as a professional musician and freelance wordsmith.
