Audio-Technica’s System 10 Stompbox digital high-fidelity guitar wireless system combines the advanced 24-bit operation, easy setup and clear, natural sound quality of other System 10 configurations with unique functionality for guitarists, bassists and other instrumentalists. Operating in the 2.4 GHz range, far from TV and DTV interference, System 10 Stompbox offers a rugged, metal, pedal board mountable receiver with foot switch, two switched TRS balanced 1/4” outputs and an output mode selector. With the tap of a foot, musicians can toggle between outputs (e.g., for switching amps) or mute and unmute one output without muting the other (e.g., for convenient tuning). And a single receiver can be paired with up to eight UniPak® body-pack transmitters, allowing users to easily switch between instruments without having to move a body-pack from one instrument to the next. Each Stompbox system includes an ATW-R1500 Stompbox receiver, an ATW-T1001 UniPak body-pack transmitter with an AT-GcW guitar cable, and hook & loop strips for adding receiver to an effects pedal board. The ATW-R1500 is a digital receiver with sturdy, metal-body construction, easy-to-read digital ID and transmitter battery level displays, and AF Peak and Pair indicator lights.
Why is 2.4GHz WiFi Band OK?
While it is certainly true that there’s a lot of activity within the 2.4 GHz range, System 10 is a frequency agile system capable of continually detecting and adjusting its frequency to operate without interference. Both the receiver units and transmitters are actually transceivers that are constantly communicating with one another. These transceivers allow System 10 to remain always aware of other 2.4 GHz usage and automatically change frequencies to avoid interference.
No Analog Audio Compander
System 10 offers full-bandwidth, high-fidelity audio. There is no analog companding during transmission and reception. System 10 is capable of full-frequency response (20 Hz to 20 kHz), and better-than-CD audio quality of 24-bit/48 kHz.
3 Levels of Diversity Assurance
All System 10 products provide three levels of diversity assurance: frequency, time, and space. Frequency Diversity sends the signal on two dynamically allocated frequencies. Time Diversity sends the signal in two time slots to maximize immunity to multipath interference. Space Diversity uses two antennas on each transmitter and receiver unit.
Plays Well With Existing Systems
System 10 products work perfectly well, straight from the box, in environments with a WiFi network. They are also ideal for adding additional channels on top of an existing TV-band wireless setup, since System 10 will not cause any intermod or interference issues. The existing setup will not need to be recon¬figured, as would be the case if adding additional TV-band wireless.
Pairing Multiple Transmitters to One Receiver
System 10 Stompbox allows users to pair each receiver unit with up to 8 individual transmitters. Useful for guitarists and other musicians who play multiple instruments – it allows them to affix a paired body-pack transmitter to each instrument, then simply turn the transmitters off and on to switch instruments. The receiver automatically mates to the active transmitter. And unlike an analog FM system there is no nasty noise should a user accidentally turn on the second transmitter while the first one is active. System 10’s receiver simply ignores it.
