Product Description

The ESP LTD MH400 Electric Guitar is absolutely packed with features. The LTD MH400 guitar is is designed with the professional performing and recording musician in mind, but is available at a price that even casual players can afford. That’s especially true with the MH-400FR Blue Pearl Fade Metallic, a neck-thru-body guitar that features a uniquely exceptional finish. This guitar offers a set of professional features that includes its set of direct-mount EMG 85 (neck) and EMG 81 (bridge) active pickups, a great combination of punch tones for rhythm and lead playing in rock and metal. You also get reliable components like Grover tuners and a Floyd Rose Special bridge.

Grover Tuners
High-quality Grover tuning machines are well known for their precise gear ratio, tuning stability and durability. They make a great complement to the other upscale features of ESP's 400-level instruments.

Double Action Truss Rods
All ESP/LTD guitars and basses feature a double-action truss rod design. Unlike a normal (single) truss rod, this one is adjustable in two different directions. This means that you’ll never run into a situation where the neck has run out of adjustment. Regardless of which ESP model you choose, you’ll get years and years of playing enjoyment.

EMG Pickups
There truly is no comparison between active EMG's and conventional pickups. EMG's frequency response is shaped much differently. Conventional pickups typically exhibit a dry peaky frequency response, while EMG's have a much broader bandwidth that's better for harmonic pull-offs and chord definition. Individual notes have better presence and are dynamic. Playing styles are more pronounced and different techniques can be easily accommodated.
