With its double-bound body, the Custom Shop Limited Edition ‘50s Telecaster Journeyman Relic dazzles in Aged Silver Sparkle. Elegant Parchment top and back body binding gives a sophisticated look to the two-piece select ash body whose charming appearance is enhanced by a flash coat nitrocellulose lacquer finish that lets the body breathe and ages in a distinctive way.
The tinted one-piece riftsawn maple neck is stable and comfortable, with a “10/56 V”-shaped profile that’s ideal for players whose thumb extends over the edge. Refined for modern guitarists and bearing 21 medium-vintage frets, the fingerboard’s 7.25” radius at the nut flattens to 9.5” as you move up the neck, making it supremely comfortable for both chordal and single-note playing. The pair of Hand Wound Loaded Nocaster high-output single-coil pickups burn with vintage-inspired tone. They are tied to Fat ‘50s Telecaster wiring and a Greasebucket tone control, so you can roll off the highs without losing volume.
Other premium features include 3-way switch, Nocaster bridge with compensated brass saddles, 1-ply parchment pickguard, vintage-style tuning machines, bone nut and round string tree. Includes deluxe tweed hardshell case, strap, engraved “Limited Edition” neck plate and certificate of authenticity.
