The HyDrive Design
HyDrive speakers feature carefully crafted paper/aluminum hybrid cone drivers. The hybrid makeup delivers an exceptional blend of warmth and attack that can't be attained by traditional all-paper bass speakers. The use of rare earth neodymium magnets provides lightweight portability without sacrificing any of the legendary Hartke attack.
Power and Portability
Beyond the impeccable tone of the twin 10" Hartke HyDrive speakers, the HD500 combo offers tremendous power in a highly-portable design. Its lightweight Class D amplifier pumps out 500 watts of power capable of filling any rehearsal space, recording studio or night club stage. And, weighing just 35 pounds, the HD500 can be easily transported via a top mounted, hand friendly carry strap.
Shape Your Tone
The HD500 features Hartke's selectable "Shape" control that has dialed in the tone of bass professionals on stages all over the world. This feature activates a custom preset EQ curve that selectivity boosts and cuts as you sweep the low to mid range frequencies to find the sweet spot for your bass. The adjacent 3-band EQ provides further customization of your sound, but you may find that straight up on all three controls is all you need because the HD500 sounds great with very little tweaking.
