Some Facts about the original MiniKorg. The "S" version (1974) of the miniKORG has and additional oscillator and panel of goodies to the left of the keyboard. The original miniKORG700 was the first product to bear the "KORG" name back in 1973, even though the company name was still Keio Electronic Organ back then. The original was designed to sit on larger products such as organs, in a way that put the control right in front of the user. The designer, Fumio Mieda, still works at the company today!
