Overview

The DTX-PRO module, equipped with the same tone generator as the DTX-PROX module, delivers sounds that have been fine-tuned to naturally follow the drummer’s performance and allow for maximum expression.

The DTX-PRO is a next-generation sound module that takes sound quality, functionality and usability to new heights. The KIT MODIFIER functionality allows you to create your sound freely just by turning the AMBIENCE, COMPRESSION and EFFECT knobs to alter the tone and ambience of sounds sampled in some of the most noted studios in the world. The MODIFIER knob is a great stimulus to creativity, giving drummers the freedom to express themselves. The DTX-PRO module brings more enjoyment, more fun and more freedom to your music than ever before.

Superbly Playable:

Reproducing the way a drum behaves when struck is a key factor in the playability of electronic drums.

Our electronic drums feature a sound module that covers the full range of sound, from the initial attack to the final cutoff, all based on authentic sound tuned by a skilled sound director. Yamaha has undertaken an exhaustive investigation of how drums respond when hit, leveraging this information to achieve a truly faithful representation of instrument behavior. Moreover, professional drummers from around the world have evaluated the performance of the DTX-PRO allowing us to improve its expressive capabilities even more. Our expertise as a manufacturer of music hardware has allowed us to offer combinations of expertly-crafted modules and pads that deliver superb playability.

Everything a Drummer Needs:

The DTX-PRO comes equipped with an abundance of terminals that support a wide range of applications. The USB terminal can send and receive MIDI, and also sends and receives audio data when connected directly to a computer or smart device allowing you to send sound directly from the DTX to DAW software or a smart device. The unit also comes with a MIDI OUT terminal allowing you to send MIDI signals to connected MIDI devices. Up to 14 pads can be connected to the trigger input terminals making it simple to create a hybrid setup with acoustic drums.

Professional-Grade Headphone Amp:

Offering high-precision, low-distortion, low-noise and high-power components, the headphone amplifier circuit delivers high-fidelity sound directly to the player and was developed exclusively for electronic drums. Effectively combining a range of Yamaha circuit technologies with the power circuit provided independently for the headphone amplifier produces a powerful, high-quality sound that envelops the player in realistic drum tones.

Training Functions to Support Drummers:

The wealth of practice functions featured in DTX drums are also found in the DTX-PRO. Make the most of a sophisticated programmable metronome, recorder function, 10 training functions that are ideal for training a sense of rhythm, as well as 37 training songs that allow you to learn various genres. Beginners and professionals alike will find the DTX6 training functions a useful aid for daily practice.

The DTX-PRO comes equipped with music production software, Cubase AI, and includes information, so users can download the latest version.
