Remo Ambassador X14 Coated Drum Heads utilize the same film as the industry standard Coated Ambassador but are 20% thicker with coated single-ply 14-mil Mylar film, producing greater attack, volume and wider mid range tones while increasing durability and providing a unique feel for enhanced stick rebound.
The coated drumhead is slightly warmer than clear heads. They’re known for their bright warm tones, resonance, and sustain. Coated heads are best known as batter and resonant heads warming up the sound of tom-toms and bass drums. Coated Ambassador heads are the standard of the industry for both live and recording situations.
