Presenting the GTe (grand theater) blacktop acoustic electric guitar from Taylor Guitars master guitar designer Andy Powers. This totally original body shape introduces an amazing new guitar that balances a compact design with a full bodied acoustic tone. The guitar is based on Taylor’s Grand Orchestra body shape and scaled down to create a shape that sits between the Grand Concert and the GS mini. All solid wood construction produces full, lush tones boosted by Andy’s new C-class bracing design, based on the principles of the award winning V class bracing.
Crafted with beautiful solid walnut back and sides, the guitar boasts a strong low end with a touch of compression. The solid spruce, matte finish black top is super versatile, great for fingerpicking and light to moderate strumming. The short scale length and chamfered body edge treatment make it super easy and comfortable to play. Beautiful, smoked eucalyptus fretboard is attractive and smooth. Ultra-thin finish creates a rootsy vibe while allowing the guitar to breathe and not be hindered sonically. Top it off with onboard stage ready Expression 2 electronics and a super sturdy, lightweight Aerocase, and you have a compact guitar with amazing sonic capabilities that is suitable for stage, the couch, and can travel easy if needed.
