Product Description

Originally re-released more than 20 years ago, the Celestion G12H 70th Anniversary remains hugely popular with players who want to deliver authentic hard rock swagger. With a strong, aggressive low-end and powerful low-mids, the G12H penetrates any mix with an attacking upper mid-range and an ice-cool top-end.

Used alone or in quads, it provides serious attitude to soft amp tones, easily cutting through loud stage levels for chord work, and imparting a hard edge to single notes. A favourite in the ‘boutique’ amplifier market, the G12H is often used on its own or paired with a Celestion Alnico speaker for a full-bodied sound that adds ceramic attitude to the expressive Alnico chime.

G12H Features

  • Utilizes a heavy magnet (H - Heavy), providing superb control over low frequencies
  • Greater midrange than the G12M with its medium (M - Medium) weight magnet
  • The definitive speaker used in 4x12 cabinets in the 1970’s - used by all the classic rock bands of the day

Your general opinion of this product.
I have 2 Orange PPC cabs loaded with Vintage 30s. I bought 2 of these to have a V30/G12H30 speaker mix in both cabs and it has made the sound much "fuller" and bigger sounding. Has more lows, more highs, and really adds a lot to a single V30. They are also absolutely great by themselves but I do prefer to mix speakers so YMMV. These speakers ROCK! I tried a bunch of the lower priced copies and they don't have the cripness/highess/cut that these bring to a band mix. Hard to describe and you can't tell just from online videos alone. It's an inperson feeling thing.
