Product Description

The Epiphone EL-00 Pro Parlor Acoustic Electric Guitar features the ‘blues box’ style body that is favored by blues players of all eras for its compressed, woody tonal quality, short scale, and comfortable weight which makes it ideal for fingerpicking or the bark of a bottle neck slide. The EL-00 Pro also gives you a Fishman Sonitone soundhole preamp and Fishman Sonicore pickup so you can plug-in and be heard on any size stage with first class acoustic/electric sound.

Fishman Electonics
Epiphone is proud to re-introduce the classic Epiphone EL-00 PRO Acoustic/Electric with the superb Fishman Sonitone preamp and Fishman Sonicore pickup system. Fishman is an industry leader in bringing a guitar’s true acoustic tone to bigger stages.

The Sonicore pickup is set underneath the saddle. The Sonitone sound-hole preamp is an active preamp mounted in the soundhole with easy-to-access mounted rotary controls for Master Volume and Tone adjustment. Now you can make your adjustments during soundcheck and even fine adjustments on-the-fly during your set. The active preamp is powered by a single 9-volt battery. You can connect your Epiphone EL-00 PRO to a PA or amp of your choice with a standard 1/4 inch instrument cable. Batteries typically last up to 100 hours.

Overall Rating
Playability and Feel
"I really like this guitar, send me another one".
Your general opinion of this product.
I wanted a smaller body acoustic guitar and from having the Jumbo EJ200 I thought this one would be very nice, and I was right. I was so impressed with the finish and the strings sound great, stays in tune, lightweight, well I ordered a second one. It is also very loud for it's size and also has Fishman electronics. A great value packed guitar.
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Yes I would consider this guitar very well made. I have never had trouble with any of my 8 Epiphones. Well made and dependable equals a real winner.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
The action could be a little lower for me, coming off an electric, but with the way it sounds out of the box. I am leaving everthing alone.
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
It has a loud sparking sound. Thats what happens when the strings are matched to the body just right. I plan on restring the EL-OO-PRO with the same strings, when the time comes, When a string pops on me, thats when I change the strings.
How was the action out of the box?
It was good, very nice. I could make it easier, but action is very snappy.
How did the stain or paint job look?
How has it stood up over time?
Epiphones are very tough guitars. My friend has an Epiphone acoustic and I know sometimes he leaves it in the trunk of his car. That's in Louisiana and it gets real hot in the summer time.
