The Les Paul guitar is synonymous with Rock and Roll. No other guitar gives you the power, the sustain and the sound of a Les Paul. Subject:Are You serious?
Quality: Look I did a lot of research on this and the Gibson. For the most part respectively they (Epi & Gibson) are not too far apart from one another. This Guitar as far as quality, well you can't get too much better without paying a couple thousand dollars. This IS a thousand dollar guitar for half the price!
Reliability: To be seen.. but the way that it's crafted I'm sure I'll have it forever!
Overall: I have three other guitars and this one is the great fourth guitar. Won't need to buy one for a few years.
Playability and Feel: It is heavy but that to me that exemplifies great quality for the style of guitar. It's real easy to play.. My girlfriend could even tell the difference and she just knows a couple of riffs.
Tone: Heavy smooth on clean channel. Mean as heck with my Boss mt-2 pedal. Simple as that.
Finish: Great
Action: Believe it or not it came set up quite well. I've heard that the les pauls don't come set up well but mine came set up to my taste.

Sound: Lives up to the hype. Clean or dirty you wont be disappointed
Reliability: So far so good
Overall: This review is to simply say to many people posting reviews on this site are either stupid, liars or both! AMS will refund your money or exchange the product if you dont like it, if you return it in time of course. I know from personal experience, I bought an epi sg prophecy with dirty fingers pick ups dent and scratch. They sent a prophecy with emgs! When I called and told them they told me they had sold out of the dent and scratch model. Then they blew my mind by not refunding my money and saying sorry, but sent an brand new one at the d&s price. AMS is a great company in my opinion I wont shop anywhere else for musical equipment
Playability and Feel: Fast, smooth, easy on your fret hand. A little top heavy like all sg's tho
Tone: Heavy metal, blues, classic rock it doesnt matter this guitar will do it all. It is definitly darker than anything i've played right out of the box with little or no effects
Finish: Better than the pic by far
Action: Believe it or not I didnt have to change a thing

Subject:Well, It's Like A Les Paul
Quality: The quality is ok. Heavy, but needs constant tightening
Reliability: The G string constantly goes out of tune! One bend and it's out! I've had it into three different shops trying to fix this problem without success
Overall: It's not really what I like. It usually sits on my rack in case a string breaks on my Jagmaster. I've owned real Les Pauls and can honestly say, this is about as reliable as those
Playability and Feel: Playability was of a Les Paul. Neck just as thick and very flexible with the strings
Tone: The tone was mediocre at best. Replaced the stock pick ups due to lack of tone
Finish: Finish was very nice. It's a great looking guitar
Action: Action was a little low and had some string buzz. Also had to get the intonation set. Still constant tuning issues

Subject:Epiphone blow my mind away!
Quality: For the quality of this guitar i gave it a 4. I had this guitar for a few months now. My high E string first fret has a pingy sound. The string is touching other frets when i play F. Well this isn't a big deal just a minor tune up can fix that. Well the overall quality of this guitar, it is well built! For being made in China, this is a great guitar.
Reliability: For the few months I had it the reliability is great. This guitar should stay with me untill I rot away. This well built guitar should last any guitarist a life time, many concerts, and just playing at home.
Overall: Overall it's a MUST BUY! For almost $500, with the Les Pual name on it, it's a must. Epiphone does a great job on this guitar. I saved up for this guitar lets just say I'm glad I did. If a Gibson is way out of your price range, this is it.
Playability and Feel: Ok the deal is I played with a Fender Strat, and 2 Fender Accustics, and one 12 sting guitar from SeaGul. I was lost at first when i got this guitar 4 controls, 5 if you count the Lead/rhythm switch. I did notice something about this guitar then my fender, the controls are easy to get to and hard to hit when playing. They are out of the way, so not rubing or slaming my controls. Even the Switch is well placed. The guitar is rather heavy at first but hey it's a Les Paul. The weight isn't a big deal you'll get used to it. Then the neck is something to talk about, the next is sleek, and rounded just right for the players hand. It took some getting used to but the neck is great for Playability.
Tone: The tone is all in the matter of what strings you have placed on this guitar, and not only that what is the tone setting you have in place. To many Controls to tell you the true tone unless you go play it. The tone tho as I can hear it, they can be mellow ans smooth, then if I play with the controls i can get a hot, bright tone. The use of the controls can make it dark, and thick. It's endless.
Finish: The Finish is great I love the ebony top, other then it's rather hard to keep clean all the time. The finish just makes the guitar look and feel even better.
Action: I got mine off a store wall. I couldn't help myself to play it in the car home. I love it, the action is great. I can do bends and licks with no problem. The action is just great.

Subject:Good guitar
Quality: Well if it's made by Gibson engineers, it's gonna play like a Gibson. The tone is phenoominal for an Epiphone.
Reliability: I've had this guitar since October 2008 and it's well built. It's a little heavy, but it's playability, glued in, fast neck makes up for it.
Overall: If you want a good Les Paul for a cheap price, this is the one to buy. The only things I'd change on it are it's hardware and knobs. I prefer gold hardware and black knobs, but that's just me.
Playability and Feel: Hooked up to a VOX AD50 amp, the tone will sound just like some of Metallica's old music like Enter Sandman, Sad but True, Nothing else matters, etc...
Tone: I'd have to go with dark, smooth and thick.
Finish: Excellent paint job. I now prefer black colored Les Pauls over white.
Action: Great.
