| Awesome Guitar...it's a keeper! |
| Quality |
| Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? |
| I really have to say that this guitar is made with awesome craftmanship (seriously). It's all solid wood and meticulously made! You can see the the care and time that went into it. |
|
| Reliability |
| How has it stood up over time? |
| Not sure yet - but I do know Martin. I've owned quite a few of them in my day and still do - they hold up very well as time goes on. They actually get better as they age. This one should be no exception (I hope). |
|
| General |
| Your general opinion of this product. |
| Truly a work of art. I really mean it. It's perfect for gigging or just simply back porch strumming. Either way, you can't go wrong with this model. I should know, I've been playing for about 35 years now and have owned a boat load of guitars! |
|
| Playability and Feel |
| How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? |
| The feel is nice and comfortable. Easy on the arms and torso. Finger wise, it's smooth - no harsh fret ends, in fact, just the opposite. The neck has that soft hand shape contour that we all like. This guitar is very user friendly. Take it from a musician who really knows! |
|
| Tone |
| Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? |
| A good decent bass response for the size. Solid mid range and a bright clear treble to her. I've tried it all: fingerpick, flat- pick, strumming...you name it and she responded nicely (for real)! Bottom line; she took what I gave her and played and sounded great. I was really happy with her! |
|
| Finish |
| How did the stain or paint job look? |
| Satin, but flawless!! It really has an appealing look and finish. Like something out of the 1940's(very cool). I get alot of compliments especiall with the slot head - nostalgia all the way! |
|
| Action |
| How was the action out of the box? |
| Action was good right out of the case. At this point, no professional setup needed. Surprisingly, they did a good job on her action - nice and close like I like it, but yet with some wiggle room for height if you need a bit. Overall, you'll like what you'll get - they made some good adjustments regarding the action. I'm very satisfied! |
