The KD-7 uses a reverse-style beater so it can be used with nearly any kick pedal. The KD-7 also provides an input for double-bass style drumming. The KD-7 can be used with bass drum pedals of virtually any make. It has a playing feel similar to an acoustic drum, with complete dynamic control. The KD-7 can be used with other manufacturers' trigger interfaces. Bass drum pedal not included.

Quality: Roland has done it again, the trigger beater looks alot larger which is great because its a larger surface area for the trigger
Features: just screw your kick pedal on the trigger base, plug the 1/4 cable and your good to go.
Sound: Triggers all the sounds great, very sensitive in response.
Overall: I think if your looking for a portable, great quality, SINGLE bass drum trigger, then look no further. I bought mine used from someone who owned it for over a year and it still response like new. If you want the ability to do double bass then upgrade to the kd8, but this is the ticket for single kick pedals.
Value: This will last you a very long time even after months if not years of constant playing
Appearance: The KD8 looks alot bigger than what the picture shows but in a good way. Simple and clean looking.
