Product Description

The Schecter Damien Platinum 7-String Electric Guitar has classic Schecter looks with the added twist of Platinum multi-ply binding and Platinum bat fingerboard inlays. These Platinum touches add a unique, eye-catching appearance without being overly flashy. Schecter loads this seven string tone monster with EMG Active 81-7/85-7 humbuckers for remarkable note definition even in the lowest registers of the 7th string.

Schecter Damien Platinum 7 Electric Guitar Features

  • Mahogany body with Ultra Access Set Neck
  • 3-piece Maple Neck with Rosewood Fingerboard
  • EMG Active 81-7/85-7 humbuckers
  • Platinum Bat inlays and Multi-ply Binding
  • 24X Jumbo frets are great for players who love to bend strings
A 3 piece Maple neck is set into the Mahogany body and features an Ultra Access contour. This combination yields remarkable stability, sustain and comfortable playability even at the highest frets. 24X Jumbo frets on the rosewood fingerboard make string bending and lead playing effortless on the Damien Platinum 7 string.

Tuners - Grover
ROTOMATICS WITH 18:1 GEAR RATIO (102-18 SERIES) The original Rotomatic with an improved higher ratio gearing. The 18:1 ratio provides for finer tuning and greater stability. The finer gears provide smoother tuning and a higher degree of backlash elimination.

Fingerboard - Rosewood
The most common fingerboard, Rosewood is naturally oily, and works well for any surface that sees frequent human contact. The sound is richer in fundamental than Maple because the stray overtones are absorbed into the oily pores.

Pickups - EMG Active 81-7/85-7
Bridge: The 81-7 is a high output pickup designed especially for the 7-string lead guitarist. The 81 is at its best for high volume overdrive and amps with a master volume. Whether you're playing power rock and roll, or overdriving your amp, there's a razor sharp attack, and incredible sustain for brilliant soloing. If you're looking for exceptional qualities in a 7-string rock pickup, the 81-7 is the one. Recommended pairings include the classic 81-7/85-7 setup.

Neck - 3-piece Maple
Made with 3 pieces of maple for extra stability. 3 piece necks can withstand the test of time. Where standard necks may show aging defects from temperature and moisture changes throughout the years, the 3 piece neck will stay nice and straight for a lifetime of playability.

What is your overall opinion of this product?
I have had it for one month but the over all feel is pretty comfy. The Matte finish looks pretty sweet but is not too flashy, and the bat inlays are a very nice touch. It is my first seven string so I can't really comment on playability cause there is a little more fret board to cover and the new string I have to learn how to play with is well.. THICK haha. It has the beefy tone I wanted, the emg's and the metal up your a$$ look. So for 600 bucks, ya can't complain.
