Ease of Use: The manual was very helpful in learning how to program this unit. This keyboard is very playable. Sound: The piano sound is excellant, I was not impressed with the woodwinds. I suspect overall dependability will be good as it usually is with Yamaha products. Features: More control over keyboard touch would be nice, and better quality plastic Ease of Use: Sets up right away. Lots of features I will not get to explore for quite awhile. Manuel is very good. Playability is very good. Sound quality is variable. Some instruments sound great. Others are a bit weak. Sound: Good. Speakers are inadequate but you can pump those up with attachments. Many of the instruments are good, some better than others. Good piano tone. Just needs more volume. Action: Action is fairly good. No real complaints. The key return is very much like a piano and I like that. It is not toylike. Value: air. At this price level, I would have looked for a low cost console instead. By the time you add a stand, a decent sustain pedal, an adapter, etc. You are up to the $450 range which only puts you about $150 away from a console and you do not have to add all the other equipment. I really advise against buying the Survival Pack. Buy the adapter separately. The sustain pedal in the Pak is so cheap to be worthless. You can buy a good quality one for about $30 from American Musical Supply. The headphones are a joke. They would cost you about $5.00 separately.
