The BA112--V2 shows vast improvements over the first generation in terms of build quality, EQ sensitivity and quality of on-board features.
The first and most noticeable difference is the of the actual cabinet itself. With a reinforced true-built 60 degree monitor angle the BA series is no longer a "cut-back" but rather a legitimate front monitor.
Furthermore the EQ itself shows major improvements over the original run. The knobs have a sh!t-load more response than previously and are far more sensitive to the users settings.
Lastly, the most important improvement is the preamp overdrive/"Scrambler" unit. The original scrambler found on the 1st run BA's was little more than a glorified volume-booster. This time around it's been redeveloped to be noticeable more effective. It can still be used as a clean-boost but can also push the signal into overdrive or Fuzz, if dialed correctly.

I'm very pleased with the features and sound!
Adding a footpedal eliminated the need for a separate overdrive. (hint: Marshall single pedal, is half the price of the Ampeg)
I intend to use it as a monitor or main amp for small venues.

Yes I am extremely satisfied with the ampeg ba112 v 2 it's like going from a Ford pinto to a Rolls-Royce from my little practice amp no matter what base I got it sounded like crap and my other lamp not going to say any names because it was a decent amp but just like I said you get what you pay for it was well worth it to spend a little more

This product is beyond what the description tells about it. Good lows and mids out of it. I have bought all my gear through AMS and the quality is always top notch with easy flexible payments. Love this amp and company.

Awesome amp! Taking it out of the box I wasn't sure it would be loud enough, but I only put it on 5 and rocked the house!
