Product Rating What is your opinion of this product? I have been playing guitar 50+years, and have owned and played many fine guitars. This D'Angelico ranks right up there with any of the best that I have played. I purchased this guitar after playing a blue burst model at a local shop and was so impressed with the feel and tone. I wanted the Blonde model that the local shop didn't have. AMS had the guitar in stock , so I bought it sight unseen and crossed my fingers that it would be as good as the one I had played. The guitar arrived and I can tell you it was every bit as good as the first one and the attention to detail perfect. I took a couple of hours to change the the strings to my favorites and lowered the the action just a bit at the bridge and nut and it was perfect. intonation right on and no dead notes. If all the guitars D'Angelico are making are as good as this then all I can say is Great Work.

What is your opinion of this product? When I opened the case I was met with the great smell of new varnish. It's a beauty and the case is very nice. The blue is more saturated than the pictures online. The workmanship is wonderful and it sounds great. The only thing I would recommend is make sure you have new strings because it came with heavy gauge wound strings that squeak and are not very friendly for the jazz sound this guitar is made for.

What is your opinion of this product? I've been playing for over fifty years and owned many fine instruments. None, not even very pricey American ones, has been equal to the D'Angelico. Build quality is superb. It has a wonderful neck. A gorgeous finish. Fine classic jazz sound, either acoustic or plugged in. Even things like the provided case are a notch above what we commonly see today. The set-up was fine out of the box. Intonation was right on. I cannot say enough about how impressed I am with this instrument!

What is your opinion of this product? This instrument is very well made. There are no flaws in the finish. The neck and frets are comfortable, neither too thin or tall. The tailpiece, headstock and pickguard are accurate reproductions and beautifully done. It has a good sound acoustically and the volume is nearly as loud as a vintage laminate archtop. The floating pickup has the tone of the late forties pickups, trebly but capable of a full warm tone. I can hear each note in a chord and it inspires me to play new things so that alone makes it worthwhile. It is better made than some guitars costing three times as much.

What is your opinion of this product? I've had at least one of everything out there is 35 years of playing and I've never bought a guitar sight unseen until now. My live performing days are over as a result of serious health problems, so I decided to commit myself to learning jazz guitar. That being said, a costly divorce forced me to part with every guitar I owned (except for my Lowden acoustic). So, I was starting over from scratch. I checked out a couple of reviews on youtube and although there wasn't a real jazz player reviewing it (seemed to be more music store owners of some type, only playing a few chords). They all agreed that for the money, it was a nice archtop. I ordered one.
