If you’re buying, I would highly recommend getting the case and controller bundle. First the controller. Great Denon product. The sound is awesome and it is super easy to hop right into mixing on this. I will likely always use it connected to my MacBook but having songs loaded on USB as backup in case of a computer failure is a nice insurance to have. The case is built like a tank. It’s heavy and has wheels but having the rack spaces below to put both Shure receivers as well as my Driverack is really nice rather than carrying a separate rack for those so it makes up for the added weight. It’s an easy set up and go. I am really happy with this purchase and with the financing options, the price is definitely right.

It has many nice features but the most important one is being able to use it without a computer. The wheels are a little bit small and you can't adjust to be tight or loss depending on your taste. I have been using it for one month now and I am getting comfortable with it. Setting up is easy and quick. Yes it does meet my expectations.

The order came fast and as advertised. Customer Service team answered my questions promptly. Denon’s Mcx8000 has everything a professional DJ needs to showcase a great sounding set. The 2 extra inputs allow for 2 more tables or cd decks. Overall I am happy with the product.

The sound quality is superb, as expected from a Denon product. The knobs and overall build are solid, definitely pro level. The unit works very well as a stand-alone unit or with a computer, even as a hybrid system (two channels standalone, two computer based). It responds nicely, no noticible lag, really fast response in fact. I like that it includes the pro version of Serato DJ (the unit serves as a license key dongle) This is definitely a step up from my old controller, a pioneer ddj-sb3. Absolutely love this unit, for everything from, my wedding DJ gigs, to my own music projects.

I cannot complain about this product. This is a Denon MCX series controller. I purchased through Josh at AMS and he was very helpful in getting me equipped with all of the info i needed to see if this controller was the right fit for me. I use virtual dj and traktor 3 and the controllers just fine with this controller. Please be advised as of Jan 2019 the Usb function ( that is functioning as a usb drive to play music directly from the controller) does not work with video files ( if you are a Vidro jockey) and will cause the system to freeze so please make note of that. All of the functions work well as the step sequencer and freeze function. I fell in love with this controller the search function is essential to drop songs at the right place. I love this controller please be sure to buy the flight case with this controller you will protect your investment denon has amazing products and AMS has the best customer service on the Internet!! You will not be sorry

Once I got products converted. Everything works really well and smooth. Very Happy with performance at a Club Dj Level and Karaoke Host Level too.
One thing Stood Out from what my regular customers first noticed was the much richer sound than before. I must agree with them. Subs thru middle and the Highs sound much Nicer. I use Cerwin Vega P1800 Subs and P1500 Mid and High. With PigHog xlr cables.
Hope this helps when building a dj set up!

I purchased this product and had the crossfader issue within 5 months of the purchased , Denon then sent me a new crossfader to replace and that fixed the problem.
3 months later I had issues with the channel level volumes cutting in and out, so i sent unit to Denon and they sent me a new unit.
Now 4 months later I am having issues with the Play & Cue button being unresponsive and now being 1 year since the time of the purchased I am out of warranty, Denon wants me to send the unit to a service repair center.
**After going through the Denon forums I found out that all the isuues I experienced are knosn by Denon** people have been complaining about these issues and Denon has just decided to ignore the problems.
I am very upset with Denon quality and personally I regret purchasing my MCX8000 I only wish AMS would somehow credit me part of the unit to trade in for a different brand either a Pioneer or Numark as I am no longer confident with Denons products specially since they were known isuues to Denon and not correcting them. :(

I have always wanted to be a DJ, but could not afford the equipment. My father mentioned the AMS to me about two months ago and told me about their terms and the rest was history.
I am loving my MCX8000, I love the screens and the ability to use Denon's Engine without the use of Serato. Having the option to DJ my way is what lead me to get this. The build quality is excellent and feels very durable. I feel very comfortable when I practice and perform. I have recommended this controller to a few people already.

After using this for a while now I can say that it is very solid and durable and packed with features. Works perfectly with Serato but Engine has a few issues and is clunky and limits you from using some of the features. It is great to have as a backup or for those few moments something happens to your computer. but otherwise its not as user friendly as just using your computer. I still think its worth having, and I do like the 2 screens and not having to always look a the computer. Maybe with future updates to software, Engine will become better and more worth using, but as a controller for use with Serato, its amazing.

The MCX8000 is a excellent controller for Serato. Super tight and extremely good. However, as for a stand alone controller, it's okay. What keeps this controller from being excellent is the Engine software. To properly use the controller as a stand alone and to fully utilize all the filtering features, all the music used from a thumb drive must be imported and exported thru the engine software. The Engine software cannot handle large databases from iTunes or Serato. So the music you want to import/export to the thumb has to be saved separately or to the local drive first. Furthermore, the software is simply to slow to export the music (Unless you have hours to wait while the music is exported). In short, using the Engine software to export music to the thumb drive is a long process. Music can be put directly on the USB drive, but it can't be filtered in any way. Using the MCX8000 with a laptop and Serato is much much faster; and the process to create playlist is much simpler.
