If you know what you're doing and how to set these up. These are audiophile speakers. A nice preamp helps warm things up. Some equalization with volume boost rounds things off. Pristine audio is possible. Spacious, airy, very 3D. Presence is amazing.

I could not be happier to add these beautiful Gibson monitors to my home studio.
For starters they sound great...with independent volume, bass and treble settings allowing you to set the EQ flat for mixing and mastering or dialing in EQ for post production listening.
They look incredible...the wood finished front panels are a thing of beauty highlighted by the gorgeous flame maple and traditional tobacco burst finish of the iconic ales Paul guitars. Did I mention the Gibson Logo lights up when turned on!
These speakers are built like a tank! I plan to use these in my home studio for many years and I believe that Gibson built these to last much like the legacy of the Les Paul guitar itself.
They really stand out compared to other home studio monitors..definitely a great conversation piece for any gear head!

I underestimated the sheer size of these monitors, make sure you have plenty of desk space!
They look really nice, sound pretty good. I notice a surprising amount of background hiss but I have the volume turned all the way up and control them with the mo Igor function in an Apollo Twin. The drastic drop in price makes these a reasonably good deal in my opinion.

We got the Cherry Sunburst LP8 pair (OCT. 2018) and they are as beautiful as they sound. The translation from control room / mixdown to consumer playback is amazing in detail and tone! Only wish we had more LP8's! (any color) Worth 4 times the 500 sale price and more! SO SMOOTH SOUNDING! As a worldwide recording artist and Studio Engineer, i have heard and mixed with so many monitors costing twice to 20 times these, and am totally happy and amazed with these! well beyond my expectations! GET THESE GIBSON MONITORS and ROCK ON!

Been wanting these for a while now glad I waited 500 for the pair of the 8 inch is well worth it! Great deal AMS! Box was a little beat up when they got here (fedex norm) but doesn’t look like there is damage. They look amazing can’t put it into words great addition to my house. They sound great too!

These speakers sound clear, crisp and flat after burn in. Before they sound terrible. Take the time to burn them in 30 hours or so and you will be really happy you bought these. There is NOTHING that can touch these for the current price point. I got mine a few days ago and I am struck by how clear they sound. Each individual instrument is discernible. Stereo imaging is fantastic as well. One last time, Before these speakers burn they sound bad, afterwards they are awesome!
