These will be handed down to my wife for use with her customized/modified Breakbeats kit. She will get some use out of them... so in hindsight... I could recommend them for a tiny little kit that never moves or leaves the studio. Just not my thing.

Great for beginner kits. I bought two for my small kit to keep it light and easy to transport. The only draw back is the thinnera nd shorter than normal stems which don’t allow for the quick connect cymbal clamps (Tama in my case).

These stands were exactly what I was looking for. I own much heavier weight stands, but was starting to find them to be too bulky for some of the gigs I play. I purchased one of these as a test and was completely satisifed. I then went back and purchased a few more of the straight stands, a boom stand and hi-hat. Even though I use them several times a week at gigs, they are holding up nicely, they are easy to transport, and I couldn't be happier with the price! [I also couldn't be happier with AMS's very prompt shipping and delivery.]

This was fine and pretty much what I expected except for the 6mm top screw (that goes thru the cymbal) instead of the current standard 8mm. Couldn't use my Tama cymbal mate. The size was a good match for the PDP Z5 hardware I bought to use with my extra jazz set. I couldn't find the tube sizes anywhere prior to purchase including Mapex didn't respond. Lower tube is 3/4" and upper is 5/8".
