This is a phenomenal fiddle. I have wanted a LP single cut style for a long time everytime I bought a new one I would pass never finding the right fit. Well that slot has been filled. The SE 245 is a VERY nice guitar the quality is way above its price point. I have other guitars I paid 1500 or more for and tone and quality is on par with them. But that's what I've come to expect with dealing with AMS for the last 20 plus years my last 3 guitars have been purchased with them. And I will continue to purchase all of my gear from them. The 245 has a ton of sustain the neck feels like home the pickups are decent and could hold their own I will be changing them to Pearly Gates soon. The rolled fretboard edges are clean and not one snag or sharp edge found. The weight of mine is just over 8lbs and the balance is pretty nice no headstock dive. Playing seated or standing is perfect with the belly cut and semi carved top is just perfect. The maple veneer cap is beautiful and a very good book match. The mahogany body and neck are like peanut butter and jelly the work together with resonating tone and sustain for days. I have very few things I am changing on this one. The tuners that it comes with are sufficient but I changed them out to locking Grovers. I have the PRS lockers on my Custom 24 I eventually with the Grovers because the heads are smaller and the PRS buttons are kinda crowded. I would highly recommend this fiddle to anyone who doesn't want to pay high prices for a Chineese made guitar. Not knocking them their just not for me. At least with PRS you get a HIGH quality guitar for a great price and your not paying for the endorsement deals the parent company has. I would highly recommend PRS SE to anyone from beginner to old pickers like me.

SO this was my 3rd PRS guitar I have 2 single cuts and one double cut both my single cuts are the SE245 in tobacco with the zebra pickups and then the charcoal colored one and all I can say is that these are great guitars and worth every penny! they look great sound great and play great you cannot go wrong if you buy one of these. both my single cuts came set up great right out of the box and the feel and playability of these guitar's well I think they are way better then any gibson out there and way more affordable as well. SO if yo have not picked one of these up you really should as they are awsome guitars.

This guitar looks great and is very solid in it's stock from. I have since changed the tuners to the PRS SE Locking Tuners and the pickups to a Seymour Duncan Jazz/Custom set. Now, this guitar is absolutely perfect for me.

I bought the PRS SE245 to replace a Les Paul I gave to a friend battling cancer. I couldn’t afford another LP. After doing much research I heard that the SE 245 was a suitable choice. I was a little skeptical but I must say that the SE 245 is indeed more than worthy. This is a beautiful beast! The SE 245 can cover it all: Rock, Metal, R&B, Blues or Pop. I’ve owned or played almost every brand or type of electric guitar. This is among the best sounding guitars I’ve ever had.

The quality of this guitar is pure perfection! Where was it made? How much does it cost? It truly doesn’t matter. The truth is that the quality for the price is the best.

Guitar is beautiful. Neck is to flat. Pickups are dull. I mean dull as if you threw a blanket over you amp dull. And its got the worst ground hum ive ever had on a guitar. This is nothing but overpriced wall art. Prs needs to focus on quality over looks

I wanted a guitar that got close to a Tremonti without the floating trem. I added locking tuners and USA Tremonti pickups. Great guitar, wish something had the wide thin and hard tail. But this guitar is a beast now.

Great looking guitar. Great service from American music. This guitar arrived completely unplayable. I'd expect for the money I'd get it in a playable condition. Ended up sending it back. I don't think this is a fault of American musical. Just PRS.

Perfect out of the box. Fit, finish and feel is equal to guitars 2 to 3 times it's cost. Not to mention sound. Sustain for days. Short scale makes playing lots easier on my small arthritic hands. I really tried to find something negative about this guitar but could only think of 2 things I don't like. 1 the color, I really wanted a blue one. This guitar looks much better than picture shown. 2 frets aren't bound like my Epi Les Paul. But not rough like my Strat.

Product Review
Being a Gibson player my whole life I decided to look into other brands. I have always loved the look of the PRS Guitars and I have always heard the playability on these guitars is excellent. Well, needless to say I wasn't disappointed with this guitar, it's great. I love the sound, the action is perfect and playable right out of the box and it looks great too. This will be one of several PRS guitars that I plan on buying in the future, next I'll be looking at a Tremonti, CE 24 or the Custom 24. I would recommend this guitar. For the price it's pretty much impossible to beat. I think a great competitor for this PRS is the Epiphone Les Paul Plus Top Pro, but if I had to choose I would definitely go with this PRS. Just be aware that the finish looks different in person than it does in the photos, I prefer the actual look of the guitar as I don't think the pictures on this website do it any justice.
