Really solid kit. Shells are nicely finished. Everything was packed properly. I put some coated ambassador's on the top with clears on the bottom and the shells resonate very nicely. Hard to imagine you can get a better kit for the price. Well done Tama!

Wow this set is amazing. I had to sell my set when I was not doing so well financially and man am I glad I got this one. The sound is so crisp and nice. I highly recommend this set. It was so easy to set up and a great price. You can tell it’s quality and with a name like Tama there is no question. It has awesome hardware too. I would highly recommend this one. Also the color options are so beautiful it’s like a piece of art.

The Superstar Classic is my first acoustic set, having upgraded from an electronic set that I've been playing on for several years. The photos don't do it justice: the garnet finish is absolutely killer, and the build quality is outstanding. I haven't upgraded to proper heads yet, but it still sounds like a very high-end set.
I don't think I could've picked a better product, and the ordering process through AMS was top-notch. I can't wait to have a proper sound-treated room set up to really have it sing!

It took a while to build the kit from what was in the boxes, but it is a labor of love. Take your time during setup, the parts are there, but the variety allowed in position and adjustment can be intimidating.

Omg!!!! I’m speechless!!! This set is absolutely stunning!!! I didn’t think it would have this much charm to it until my son opened it up for his 11th birthday!! Our eyes lit up as we unboxed it!! Once we put everything together the sound was AMAZING!!!!! AmericanMusical.com is the BOMB for carrying such wonderful instruments such as this!!! The price was well worth what we got!! Do not hesitate to buy from this company!!! We definitely got our BANG for our buck!!! Also, the shipping was incredibly FAST!!!! I love this store and will forever shop with them!!!

Bought this for my daughter that joined Jazz Band last year. She fell in love as soon as she saw this set and I tell you, it’s even more amazing in person! She absolutely loves it. Do make sure that you have the right stands for the cymbals, we still have to get those.

These drums look and sound fantastic, they have a massive sound and a beautiful finish. Great for recording or performing live. If you're in the market for a big pro level kit but don't want to spend upwards of $3000 then these are the drums for you!

These drums has a pure sound it’s great for recording, you can hear the actual tone in these drums most drums be choked but no not Tama best drums I ever owned and I own a back line company that has 20 drum kits

I'm loving on this kit. First of all, the kit is beautiful. It sets up nicely and sounds stunning that an all maple kit should. Although I always worry about ordering things such as drum equipment online, I couldn't be happier. Love the hardware. Sets up nicely and again, looks great!

At the beginning I was doubting whether they were good drums but I just realized that they are Amazing. They did not include the cymbals but they are cheap so they’re still good drums and that’s what matter the most.

I am very pleased with my drum kit. I would recommend this product to anybody. Also I would refer American musical to anybody looking to get equipment. I am very satisfied with my drum kit. I love the sound and how I’m able to do more. They have great customer service and your equipment will not take long to get to you. I love American musical and will definitely use them in the future for whatever I’ll need.

The TAMA Superstar Classic is a fantastic drum set. I’m playing these in church. I absolutely love the sound, the tone, they are beautiful, easy to put together, easy to tune. Fantastic product especially for the price. I wish some hardware was included such as snare stand and kick pedal. Hi hat stand etc. other than that I cannot complain!

I have been a performing/gigging musician for over 40 years. I would never dream of taking a collector-series (>$5,000) drum set into bars and other live venues. I would take the TAMA Superstar Classic. Pure maple sound. Rock solid TAMA hardware. Easy set up and tear down. This is the set for a working musician. You can pay more, but won't get much more. You can pay a little less and get a whole lot less in terms of sound and durability.

I have played many sets in my 40 plus years of gigging. I mostly use my 1991 premier resonators in Volvo blue (birch shells) but with the addition of these maple superstar classics I think there's a new sheriff in town !! Sound great and a great value. Thanks Tama and AMS for great service !

This drum set was a step up from the first drum set I owned, which was a Gretsche Black Hawk. I still have the stock heads for the toms since I have been too lazy to change them out. They are great though and after almost ten months of playing heavy metal/death metal, only one of the heads broke so far.
The sound of the kit has been very impressive. Once I replaced the snare and bass drum heads and attached the Axis pedals from my previous kit, it has been so much fun to play and everything sounded much tighter on this kit.
For the money, this kit is well worth it. If you're intermediate thru advanced at playing the drums, this kit will serve you well. Like I said before, the stock heads are pretty good too so there isn't much need to put money down on heads right away either. I highly recommend this product!
